I’d turn around some of the gems that were asked at the Republican debates around the subjects of war and religion.

1. How many soldiers and civilians have been killed by chemical weapons in Iraq this year?

2. Do you believe homosexuality is a sin?

In my reply #81, I focused on "social reform" and the past confusion of the Democrats. But if you really want to set off a nuclear chain reaction, you might ask the following question:

"Does not your support for the current amnesty proposal in the U.S Senate compromise the employment prospects for millions of Black Americans, who have loyally supported your party since FDR? Especially in view of Civil Rights Laws, which you have supported, which make it an offense to favor the Native born over any new arrival?"

They have been allowed to carry water on both shoulders too long.

Would you support making American government more democratic by allowing the people the right to national initiatives?

Dumb question as most were not in congress at the time

Not a dumb question to ask if they are sorry for their party's action. Particularly since it is very like what they want to do in Iraq.

10 years from now, Americans will flock there

Quite possibly, but that is in spite of the Dems. If it weren't for them, Americans would already be flocking there.

That is interesting. I did not think of that.

A simple yes-or-no question: “Do you want to win the war in Iraq?”

I got into a 'discussion' with a co-worker about this very topic. After he pontificated about the cause for going to war, I finally cornered him on the present. I asked him regardless of what got us here and realizing the situation we are in now, “Do you want to win the war in Iraq?” His response was a sober "no".
Incredulous.

Ask them how long it would take to pack up and leave the US?
