billions to hide

thousands to put in plain view of enemy

daily social after tea and biscuits, can blend with civilian population for pennies on a dollar

Or maybe political friends of our new Joint Chiefs will find a way to put California to sea and sail it into the South Pacific. Wouldn’t that make for some glorious administration history and fun shore leaves? It would be a Libertarian paradise project.

And I would be in favor of doing that.

We need some kind of drone gadget that goes ahead of the tanks and triggers any such bombs to explode.

...agreed on tactical mistakes. IMO, business interests and their bureaucrats have too much indirect control over defense administration now.

Lets see...a "parked" weapon is useless.

Take off the damn restrictions and fight this like a war, EFP's are state sponsored weapons not something whipped up in a camel shed.

Have a vanload of insurgent prisoners leading every convoy, with a prisoner driving and a gunner trained on it. It would be a start.

seeding the iranian side of the iran/iraq border with a 10 mile deep minefield belt would also stop a lot of this.

Old school systematic carpet bombing of every iranian settlement would stop the rest of it.

Well, except for what’s coming in through syria but they can be next once the tactic is proofed on iran.

You got it!

They aren’t making these advanced devices in some garage in Baghdad. They’re coming from Iran.

Having our SF setting up a dozen or so of these and taking out a bunch of Iranian Mullah-buggies would result in an instant recall of them from Iraq, IMHO...

Bullet proof glass is said to be effective. The age of EFP will end as soon as the military will have these ready and send in masses.

The munitions being discussed are shape charge warheads with a copper cone. The same basic design as the warheads in our anti tank missiles.

The shape charge creates a plasma jet and the copper cone collapses into a molten ball that is accelerated into the plasma stream.

These things will cut through bullet proof glass of any possible thickness like it wasn’t even there. This stuff will cut through rolled steal armor like a blow torch through butter.
