I have always loved gokarts. However I have allowed myself to get up to around 230 pounds, which is a disadvantage in a small kart racing against small people.
Still, I know what you mean about the sensation of speed. Your butt is just inches off the pavement and it feels like you are going soooooo fast. We have a local indoor kart track that is supposed to be outstanding (and expensive).

Wow, that oval track looks neat. I wonder how many times people bump into each other on that one. This is the one I go to now.
gokartracer The one near me closed down =( , it was really cheap, but I think that might have been the reason for it going under.

Heck, crank down the wings on an Indy car, put on fresh tires, and virtually any idiot can go 215 at a high-banked track. Since you mentioned Indy cars, it should be noted that Indy, and high-bank, considering the bank at Indy is all of nine degrees, should not be used in the same sentence.
