Seeing how supporting the Republican candidate the last two elections has worked out, I am leaning towards going third party.

Already in this cycle, it seems Republicans are facing something similar — Bush fatigue.

I wish that we were just fatigued.

Maybe it’s time for there to be the formation of: THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY of America.

I wonder whether the delay in Fred Thompson’s announcement of candidacy is because he is trying to decide whether to go Republican or 3rd party.

Perhaps he neither being indecisive about whether to run nor waiting for the right time to announce. Perhaps he is assessing what remains of the GOP and whether or not he should align with them.

Please forgtive me if this idea has been previously mentioned/pondered/discussed at FR.

We have TWO SCOTUS appointments from Bush. TWO! That is worth a lot. So far, we have been successful in halting the immigration bill. We need to stand firm, but not sink our own boats. Third party? NO.

The 2008 elections will be a disaster for the Republican Party the way things stand now.And from all indications things will only get worse for them.
This is what the RNC. has beem working on for the last 8 years. They do not want to be the majority Party. They are perfectly content to kiss Democrat ass and be the whipping boys for the Democrat Party.
