If an employer was duped by false documentation, then I can understand not holding that against them. Unless there’s say 550 who are undocumented working for the same folks.

Amen. Enforce existing law for a while first, then we’ll see if there’s something needing to be fixed.
My only issue with that is before the Government starts shifting the burden on employers to enforce the law, the government should start actually start enforcing the law itself. If the government is not going to deport known illegals, how can they fine and punish people who employ them and house them?

Yep. Although deporting all illegals may be impossible. I think a workable solution is deport all illegals who come into contact with law enforcement, even if it’s just for shooting firearms into the air on May 5.

In a nut shell. It is not rocket science. What the hell is so hard about this? I really don’t understand why the government refuses to enforce the laws which are already in place. It makes no sense.

We need immigrants for our economy. Those who want to deport 12 million people need to get an economics book. Besides, it’s not going to happen, so forget it.
Everyone should also be aware and prepared to start paying a lot more for goods and services if illegals are stopped. The immigration system needs to be fixed. This is very difficult, though. Hey, look how well the new accelerated passport system is going.

If the employers are held responsible for identifying employees more, fined to the sky and back, then there would be little need to deport since there would be little work for illegals here.

And may I add, encourage the Judiciary Committee to allow Sen Inhofe's bill, ENFORCE, to get out of Committee and on to the floor.
The current bill needs defeated because it loosens Border Security instead of tightens it. Not keeping track of who leaves this Country is a major flaw among the rest.

I agree whole heartedly. Build the wall, Deport all of the illegals. If you want guest workers let them apply and go through PROPER background screening, fingerprinting, and medical screening; then allow them to come to work.
Tell them that anyone we deport cannot apply to work and some will leave on their own. (hopefully)

If you fine/prosecute employers for breaking our laws, you will not need to deport illegals. Just tell employers there will be five years in jail if they hire anyone not registered with the Federal government. Then tell the illegals they have 30 days to exit the country. Do not be anywhere near the Mexican border lest you get trampled by the stampede!
I know you are right on your points but we at least need to do the fence yesterday and hire alot more immigration people asap. I don’t believe the deportation is doable, especially with the democratic congress. Why not have at least much increased employer enforcement that way alot of illegals will simply need to go back home due to not being able to find jobs here.
This is a good list (but I would add some items):
1) BUILD THE FENCE (the fence in San Diego has stopped 90% of the drug trafficking for the county - plus it has reduced our crime rate by approx 50%) THE FENCE WORKS.
2) DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS (as you find them) But .. start with those already in our jails - because they are taking away services and funds the states need to house Citizens who have committed crimes.
3) FINE / PROSECUTE EMPLOYERS BREAKING THE LAW (and stop using that ridiculous statement “jobs Americans won’t do” - because that is a LIE! After raids are made public - those companies are inundated with LEGAL CITIZENS lining up to apply for those jobs.)

(a) Release the two border patrol agents falsely accused of shooting an ILLEGAL in the behind.

GW says it’s impractical to try to deport the illegals however, in 1954 Ike did it. In a short time with their help. The operation was called “Operation Wetback” and did not take them to the border and release them...many were loaded on ships and sent down to Vera Cruz, others were put on buses for deep in the interior.

Governing isn't that hard, W. Follow your "Republican" principles and uphold the US Constitution and the laws of the nation. If W really wants to know what is going on, he can try actually engaging the average citizen. He can find many of them on FR. Or, W can stay in DC, surrounded by a treasonous elite in Congress and the assorted alphabet agencies and departments of the Federal government.
Either way, W and his self important minions must realize that the "immigration bill" they slavishly support is a crock, is unacceptable, is bad policy and it will get Republicans nowhere come the November elections.
Actually, they need to revamp legal immigration as well.
