Oh so bringing reality into any situation is verboten eh comrade? The comment I was responding to

Bush invited the family into his office to cry with family and got a Bible out of his desk to comfort them. He knew exactly where to look when this mom mentioned the quote.

My response was on target and applied specifically to that statement. No mention of any Presidential candidates, just bring a little realism that what George did wasn't all that special. It's what anybody with some Bible knowledge would do if faced with a situation of comforting another. Sorry to tarnish your focus of worship.

But please do try another off subject slur will you?

He said the letter sent by GA senators Chambliss and Isakson is not to fund the bill stalled in congress

That's funny, their PR release specifically refers to "legislation currently pending in the Senate." Kinda tough to find wiggle room in that, no matter how much heat those two are feeling.

Too bad Bush doesn’t keep a copy of the Constitution next to the Bible in his desk, He might want to check out Article II, Section III, Duties of the President
“..... he shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed...”

He might want to read that and decide to enforce existing immigration and border laws of the United States as his oath of office requires him to do, instead of pandering to Mexico, persecuting border guards doing their duty to protect US, conniving with globalist corporate interests to import illegal cheap slave labor and make them ex post facto legal with a duplicitous, treacherous and shady piece of John McCain- Ted Kennedy legislation.

Excellent story although under sad circumstances.

I don’t agree with Bush’s immigration stance but that does not mean I am going to denigrate him or his faith. That is silly for some misguided people to do.

If Bush is a Christian, why is he lying to us about immigration? He says he can’t enforce the border without this new crappy bill. Is that a lie? You decide...

Bibles tend to come out of drawers and closets when politicians’ poll numbers start diving.

So are those “sanctuary” folks providing aid and comfort to illegal invaders.

This makes sense, not to listen to the man’s argument. Your lack of trust and unwillingness to listen says a lot more about you than it does him.

Regarding the Bible, it is my understanding that he reads the whole thing, every other year. It doesn’t surprise me that he can find any part of it at a moment’s notice, and I wish more people understood him a little better. We all could learn from his example.

God separated humanity into different, distinct nations for the same reason that the US Constitution has the separation of powers: because manking is inherently fallen and sinful, and if power is concentrated into a single human person or organization, then dictatorship will result.

BORDERS LANGUAGE CULTURE: It is God’s plan for human government until the return of Christ.

THE TOWER OF BABEL AND IT’S LESSON FOR TODAY’S GLOBALISTS

Genesis 11: 1-9

“Now the whole world had one language and a common speech.

As men moved eastward, they found a plain in Shinar and settled there.

They said to each other, “Come, let’s make bricks and bake them thoroughly.”

They used brick instead of stone, and tar for mortar.

Then they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city,

with a tower that reaches to the heavens,

so that we may make a name for ourselves and

not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.

But the LORD came down to see the city and the tower

that the men were building. The LORD said,

“If as one people speaking the same language

they have begun to do this,

then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

Come, let us go down and confuse their language

so they will not understand each other.

So the LORD scattered them from there over all the earth,

and they stopped building the city.

That is why it was called Babel

because there the LORD confused the language of the whole world.”

From there the LORD scattered them over the face of the whole earth.”

He’s not lying. There are a lot of Christians who agree with him, including leaders of the Catholic Church.

it's absolutely not about religion, its about a relationship with Christ!

that being said, I pray Bush has a personal relationship with Christ...
