Once the “mommys” hear about this — The Thomas folks are going to get their asses and pocket books kicked SEVERELY..
One DOES NOT MESS WITH KIDS FOOD, TOYS or CLOTHING and get off easy...
The clowns will pay a severe price for going cheap in China with INSUFFICIENT PROCESS CONTROLS...

How could there possibly be enough lead there to hurt a child?

I had a pair of those, along with the requisite bruises.
My dad got mad at me one day over something totally unrelated and cut them up just as an excuse to get rid of them. I was really mad at him for that. I knew when I deserved it, but also recognized spite.

I know parent hated them. I think I remember there was a safety recall due them being prone to shattering.

I’m sure they were annoying to listen to. I remember that there was concern about blood clots from the bruises, too. I just don’t know if there was anything to that.

Rarely do the cost reduction of going “offshore” get passed on to the customer...
Some may go to the shareholders, but most doesn’t..
Corporate salaries at the highest levels may see some “uplift”.

My son has watched Thomas since he was six months old. We took him to a Day Out With Thomas two summers ago, where you can ride a train pulled by a Thomas look alike and have photos taken with him. Here’s the link to the 2007 tour.
