John Lennon Stopped Yoko Ono From Having Abortion of Son Sean

London, England (LifeNews.com) -- When it comes to Hollywood, abortion isn't just a topic that comes up frequently in movies or music, it's something celebrities routinely confront. News reports on Monday indicate abortion was a topic of conversation between famous Beatles musician John Lennon and his infamous wife Yoko Ono.

In an interview with the BBC, Ono recounts a story about how she considered having an abortion when pregnant with the couple's son Sean. Lennon apparently talked her out of having an abortion.

The conversation came after Ono became pregnant when the couple reunited in the early 70s after an 18-month split.

"We'd just got back together and I became pregnant very soon, and I didn't know if it was the right moment to have a child because maybe he didn't want it," Ono recalled. "I didn't want to burden him with something he didn't want."

She told the BBC, "He said, 'Of course we are going to keep it', and he was really upset with my remark."

"I know it sounds strange now but I thought, well, I should let John decide whether to keep it or not," Ono said.

Lennon and Ono married in 1969 and Sean was born in 1975 -- resulting in Lennon taking a five year break from music to focus on raising his son.

Ono told the British news service that Sean was on Lennon's mind the night crazed fan Mark Chapman killed him in New York. She said the couple was dining and Lennon expressed a desire to see his son before he went to sleep.

Just think how Sean feels knowing that his mother almost prevented him from being born.

I saw this on the news. It turns my stomach that she still refers to Sean as ‘it’ in the conversation about the possible abortion. I get that before he was born those two might refer to the baby as ‘it’ but she knows the baby was a boy now. It just seems really insensitive or too PC for me.

To loopy liberals like Ono, the only children that should be born are WANTED CHILDREN. He did, she wasn’t sure. I wonder how Sean feels about his mom now.

Ono considered killing the kid and then infers that the reason Lennon was shot was the childs fault.

NO MORE WIRE HANGERS!@!!

(insert sound of shrieking Ono here)

“I know it sounds strange now but I thought, well, I should let John decide whether to keep it or not,” Ono said.

Not John’s body, but John’s choice?

Anyone that believe anything Yoko yo yo says has a screw lose, the woman was reported to have had numerous abortions before she started shackling up with Lennon. Go back and read the reports of the times she is just rewriting history.

What a load of hooey.
No way she would have aborted Lennon's son. The son helped her tighten her grip around John and his fortune.

I believe Oko is a liar. Believe me, I remember her back then and there is hardly a more selfish person in the world. She probably blackmailed John with threats of abortion. Also, I can’t imagine a woman such as she would not get an abortion if she wanted to. She has proven time and time again; that she is a cold and calculating person. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if she got pregnant on purpose. The one good thing besides having this boy is John Lennon’s in the looks department trumphed hers thank heavens.

Hope he doesn’t feel too insignificant because of his mom’s thoughtful comments.

"pink floys"

If you like Pink Floyd, then I guess it would be difficult to like a group like The Beatles that had great melodies. I believe Pink Floyd is still looking for their first decent melody.

Yeah, too bad Pink Floyd could never write one of those obnoxious songs you can't get out of your head like "Love Me Do" or "All You Need Is Love."

So, it’s 2007 and you’re debating about the merits of Pink Floyd vs. The Beatles?

Both bands are legends. Accept it and move on.

Sorry, long solos and pretentious usage of moogs does not make REAL rock and roll. Thankfully, the Ramones and Pistols came along to kick the likes of ELP and Yes in the a-s.

I would much rather listen to a dog fart than have to listen to anything involving Rick Wakeman.

Pink Floyd,

Pink Floyd is overrated by a mile. Their music is depressing and every time I hear it I want to commit suicide.
