Serbs 'disgusted' by Bush Kosovo pledge – premier

BELGRADE – Serbs will never forgive the United States if it helps ensure Kosovo's Albanians win independence for the Serbian province, Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica said on Monday.

In a bitter response to President George W. Bush's promise to Albanians that Kosovo would soon be independent, Kostunica said Serbia was 'justifiably disgusted' by U.S. policy, the official Serbian news agency Tanjug reported.

The row over Kosovo's future deepened as the province marked the eve of the 8th anniversary of the June 12 deployment of 60,000 NATO troops who entered the territory from Macedonia as Serb forces withdrew to the north.

It has turned into a high-stakes diplomatic standoff between Russia, which backs Serbia in opposition to independence, and the West, which believes it is the only viable solution to future stability in the southern Balkans.

'The U.S. has a right to support certain states and peoples in accordance with its interests, but not by making them a present of something which doesn't belong to it,' the Serb premier said.

'The U.S. bombing of Serbia was a big enough mistake for the last century and this one as well,' added Kostunica, who has suggested that Serbia would curtail diplomatic ties with any state that recognises independence.

'Supporting one-sided independence for Kosovo would be a fresh mistake, a further act of unjustified violence, which would not be forgotten by the Serbian people,' he said.

Another momento of a flawed Presidency - Bill’s - resurrected under his nearly inept successor.

As a person of Slovenian descent I have no love for the Serbs, but they are right on this one and we took the wrong side. Bush is in bed with the Mexicans on immigration and appears to be siding with the Saudis on this one. Giving them another Muslim state in Europe seems to be the goal.

Serbs should pray to Jesus that Bush does not get his way on this.

Bush’s wristwatch disappeared while he shakes hands with Albanian citizen

11 June 2007 | 19:22 | FOCUS News Agency

Tirana. US President George Bush lost his wristwatch while he was shaking hands with Albanian citizen yesterday on his visit to Albania, Spanish agency EFE informed according to local TV channels information. Televisions broadcast a video that shows that while Bush greeting Albanian citizens, his watch disappears. Although the White House denies information that US President has lost his watch.

Maybe he did, or maybe the Spanish are so used to have things stolen by Albanians in Spain that they expect to see theft when someone's surrounded by Albanians.

“Bush is in bed with the Mexicans on immigration and appears to be siding with the Saudis on this one. Giving them another Muslim state in Europe seems to be the goal.”

In fact, didn’t some people speculate that the reason why the US is supporting Kosovo independence is because they’re trying to curry support in Sunni countries to try to contain Iran?

The Sunnis don’t need our encouragement to hate the Shiites of Iran. Problem is that the cozy relation with the Saudis goes back generations. They are business partners and Saudi money is the foundation of the Bush bank account.

This President is now on the side of terrorists.

He was already on the side of illegals.

[Albania has wholeheartedly supported the U.S. in the global war on terrorism by freezing terrorist assets, shutting down non-governmental organizations (NGOs) with possible links to terrorist financing, expelling extremists, and providing military and diplomatic support for the U.S.-led actions in Afghanistan and Iraq. Albania has played a moderating role in the region and has fully supported UN mediation efforts in Kosovo. ]

An alliance with Albania should not be contingent on giving the Jihadists a base of operations by giving them Kosovo nor should it require the coming massacre of the Christian Serbs who currently remain in Kosovo.

However, these things all come as a package.

Nope dude. During visit to Albania, security detail was provided by USMC expeditionary corps and Albanian "allies" were not allowed to carry arms during W's visit.Secret Service was taking all preacautions.

Anwar el Sadat was murdered by Gamma Al Islamya member in Presidential guard. And Gamma Al Islamya operates freely in Albania. SS was taking no chance.

It horrifies me how under Bill Clinton thousands of Serbs, most women and children - people who had done us no harm - were killed. No, I am not a Serb and I do not even know any Serbs. But I feel we have done a great injustice to them.

Bush appears to like Clinton and want to be buddies with the guy. He has been a huge disappointment and I wonder about his mental state.
