The boy shown in your photo with a banjo is neither blind nor retarded. He manages a local business near my home, and he still plays a mean banjo. He also keeps handy a copy of the
Atlanta Constitution on the 25th anniversary of the movie "Deliverance."
That special article featured all the bit players in the movie, most of whom had been recruited by Mama Dillard, the matriarch of the Dillard House, a local country-style restaurant of great renown.
