I think the smoking issue is more like the last straw. People are starting to open their eyes and think, "Whats next? My choice of car? My cooking oil? Gambling? It's there already. They're thinking about laws to deny anyone who is overweight fast food, and No trans fat seems to be the next target. I think some cities already have laws that restaurants cannot use anything with trans fat. And how about the lightbulb laws?

I never thought I would live long enough to see the day when a socialist campaigns on an openly socialist platform in America. Neither did I. There are few practical limits on federal power now. Once we accept socialized health care the people will be willing to accept anything in the name of "the common good." Adios constitutional republic, hello totalitarianism.

one of my tv-moron neighbors loves hillary and will vote for her.
my neighbor hates men. one day she was enraged by a tv show that mentioned salary disparities between men and women. she was angry that men make more money.
i pointed out that men work longer hours than do women, but she didn’t understand.
then, i mentioned her daughter who doesn’t have kids and does not like working. her daughter talked her husband into letting her stay at home and not working.
finally, my neighbor began to see what i meant about men working longer hours.
