This is the work of a genuine hate America group; and I’m not talking KKK. Contrary to public belief, the official flag of the KKK is the American Flag; they wouldn’t do this. This is the work of people who truly hate America and all it stands for. Why is it that the first thing that comes to mind is Jane Fonda and John Kerry?

How about this for a sicko act—in 1996 there was massive vandalism at Gettysburg. Hundreds of monuments were pulled down and severly damaged. In some instances, someone attached ropes to the monuments and pulled them down using a truck.
The monuments at Gettysburg were actually erected by the veterans of that battle after they raised money when they went back to their hometowns after the war.
This happened in Natick MA as well, though there was no report of swastikas. Seems to me it’s a pattern.

The San Juan Islands fill up on holiday weekends with people from a variety of places. I doubt this was the work of island natives.
Since there is no place for violence on Free Republic, it would be wrong of me to suggest that these subhuman slugs should get the snot kicked out of them by the entire county police force after their arrest, so I won’t suggest that at all;)

I certainly would not endorse the idea of private citizens (namely vets such as former SF guys) setting flags in the graveyard and laying in wait and stealthily engaging each punk...one at a time. I certainly would not suggest such a thing.
How big is the island? I once did a mortgage for a client who bought a home there. I thought it was a fairly small place.
