ndustrial waste, including dirty carpet fluff, paper and used instant-noodle packaging, was found stuffed inside some toys made by factories in the northern province of Hebei and sold at rock-bottom prices nationwide, the newspaper added.
"These fluffy toys with bacteria or even viruses in them could cause children to itch if they touch them for a short time, or even cause disease over the long term," the newspaper said, citing a research report by the quality authorities.

More than 100% of Chinese products are substandard.
It’s hard to find anything that isn’t made in China. The other day, I went shopping for a steam iron, and found that almost all such appliances are produced in the People’a Republic. I finally found one made in Germany.
i should start shopping with Geiger counter and those nerve/chemical/biological agents field strips and wipe every items from china to see the infection levels
Why in the world do we alledgedly have departments funded by the taxpayer that are suppose to watch for this kind of thing?
Free Trade strikes again!
I wish A. Pole were still here so he could ping this one.

What happened to A. Pole? I am not trying to stir up trouble or anything. This is an honest question.
How does anyone expect anything from China be of top quality if it’s made with cheap labor?
My wife bought an iron some years back, called “Europro.” It was made in China.

LOL
The as-yet-unbanned whisper among themselves.
Someone didn’t like an article he submitted (about Russia, of all things) and banished him as being a troll. Too bad, it’s our loss.
Well, you see, they went over their labor costs a few percent. This totally wrecked their quarterly profit margin, making them not average. After switching the work crew's rations from rice gruel to a bucket of dirty water with a grain of rice waved over it, profits were quickly restored, and the Heibei toy factory is now truly average.
Too bad he got banned. I have noticed that several people whose posts I used to read are no longer here. I have also noted that I spend too much time on the Internet in general and should cut back. I recently cut back my T.V. viewing to an hour a week, sometimes a lot less, and this modest saving of time has been beneficial. You would be amazed how an hour here, 30 minutes there can add up.
No kidding.
Thanks for the ping.
I just got a “made in china” item. Instructions?? Forget it. You’ll have to figure it out yourself...kinda like my computer....Just keep pressing stuff.
Many of the banned wandered on over to Darwin Central where I also have an account.
The self-banned crowd went over to WA, the Rudy site. Then there is LP, and HP for earlier generations.
