I saw a TV report the other day talking about ol’ Nance’s trip to Swiss station whatever in Greenland, and how the head scientist type person was going to show her the ‘melting’ glaciers, with ice falling.

I remember a few years ago she was on the Jay Leno Show on Thanksgiving Eve/Night. The audience was all US Military people . Lohan had just done a movie about a woman who would marry men to keep men from having to be drafted to serve in Vietnam. Lohan said it was a "good cause". Clueless and dense.

Rosie certainly has “issues.” There was a thread about this yesterday, where someone pointed it out wonderfully (I forgot who it was or I’d give them a ping). Basically said that Rosie has never dealt with the death of her mother when she was young, that she’s constantly looking for someone to go to bat for her and when Elisabeth told her to stand up for herself, it was the weakest point in her armor. Anyway it made perfect sense.

Whole forests have been funded by tree-loving celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio and Coldplay, and more modest packages tailored to typical consumers are proliferating.

But some researchers say planting trees — while a good thing — is at best a marginal solution to global warming. Still others decry tree planters who continue to jet off to Cannes, drive their SUVs or generally fail to reduce their fuel-hungry lifestyle. To those critics, plantings and other carbon offsets are like the medieval practice of selling indulgences to wash away sins: It may feel good, but it doesn't solve much.

Lefties are seriously just beginning to ask themselves these kinds of questions. It's amazing.
