Islam is an ideology.Islam is a religion, as Christianityis. Islamofascism is an ideology, as millennialism could be described by some.

There was no purpose to original Islam other than to conquer land.

"It is a political system, not a religion. It seeks control and domination."
You need to repeat this 10 million times perhaps before it sinks into American brains.

More than anything else, to become accepted, Muslims must be the first, loudest, and strongest in condemning other Muslims whose behavior is unacceptable to non-Muslims.
How many lapsed Catholics do you know will stand up and condemn the Pope for his views on abortion?

Islam is finding that the Internet and global communications threatens its existence which is dependent on a system of control that is prescientific and irrational.

Islam is finding that the Internet and global communications threatens its existence which is dependent on a system of control that is prescientific and irrational. I must add that because Islam's system of control is being challenged by the advanced world around them, they now realize that to preserve their world they must overtake the world around them. The Jihad is their strategy to destroy those who challenge their system of control.

Americans will find that for most Muslims generally - as it is for Jews or Christians or any God fearing individual - the central defining principles of faith are not dictated by the specific interpretations of Gods laws (sharia for Muslims) or to any single one of the interpretations of various passages of the Quran peaceful or otherwise. As a Muslim, my faith as I see it and as it has been taught to me in its most devotional expression is simply-- my personal relationship with a moral Godthe God of Abraham. Translation: he does not dare let the discussion drift to the actual text of the Quran and Hadith. He tries the dishonest approach of "Oh the violent passages do not really apply, and are not really CENTRAL to Islam"
He has no real way of contradicting the Jihadi Imams who CAN base their calls for killing and subjegating infidels on the actual text, and on Mad Mo the Sand Pirate's actions in real life

He who provides for a mujahid in the Way of Allah the Almighty, it is as if he himself has made the jihad; and he who has supported the family of a mujahid with an act of goodness, it is as if he himself has made jihad.' Mohammad as recorded by Al Bukhari from Hasan al-Banna's Jihad. Less than 10% of the US Army is actually involved in the job of shooting stuff at the enemy. The other 90% have the jobs of feeding, clothing, transporting, supplying and training the actual trigger pullers.
A Muslim who gives aid and comfort to a jihadi is just as guilty as the actualjihadi

All that is clear is that there must be explanations in the history of the Arab civilization that brought forth the world religion of Islam. This civilization reached its apogee at the time of the Caliphate. At this time, it was far superior to Europe in military, economic and cultural terms. The Arab world views this period with misty-eyed nostalgia; even today, 800 years later, it plays a central role in the consciousness of the region. In the intervening period, the power, the prestige, the cultural and economic weight of the Arab world has been in continual decline. Islam is a bandit culture founded by a sand pirate. Mad Mo made his living from robbing caravans
Islam did OK as long as it was conquering and expanding -- as long as there was a steady inflow of loot and slaves who knew how to run a civilization. As soon as the expansion-by-conquest was halted in Europe, Islam went into decline. In modern day, look at the industrial base of most Muslim countries. What industrial base (except for oil industry staffed by Westerners)? The weakness of Islam is that their ideal is to be conquering bandits and live off loot

It's a matter of values.
If Moslems started declaring that God was strong enough to bring His kingdom about in HIs own time and that He did not need the service of killers, torturers, thugs and bullies, I might have a bit more respect for the religion.
