Eight protesters outside the Chinese consulate in Busan express their anger yesterday over China’s multi-hour delay in rescuing crew members of a South Korean freighter that sank after a collision with a Chinese container ship early Saturday. The ship did not report the accident for more than seven hours after it happened. Foreign Minister Song Min-soon said yesterday he has asked Chinese authorities to look into the situation. Except for life vests, no signs of any of the 16 crew of the Golden Rose have been found. [NEWSIS] |
