And if hed shot his would-be murderers instead of the other way around, he’d be in jail right now. The whole thing makes me sick.

So, were there any National Guardsmen in the area who could have protected this brave border patrolman, or had they all run away, per their rules of engagement? Just curious...

Its sad but the MSM has increasingly become a source of disinformation and propaganda rather than truth. Once upon a time, they used to serve the interests of the American people, even if it was often labeled “yellow journalism”. Now, its all spin, spin, spin for their various masters.

Very, very little play in the local Palm Springs media...a couple of paragraphs in the paper and a fifteen second “story” on any of the three local TV channels.

This is bloody murder.

If he was killed by a US citizen, it's capital murder. If a citizen of Mexico, or illegal immigrant killed him, that is an act of WAR.

isn’t that very telling and sad, that a law enforcement officer’s death, receives a sound bite, 15 seconds at best, you couldn’t pay me enough to do their jobs, have to worry at every stop, am i going to be dead, if i do my job am i going to jail?

these questions have to be running through their mind, knowing how the BP and police in general are assumed guilty many times, and a quick “rush to judgment” by the MSM and the usual suspects

There are parts of the border area in Northern Mexico that are essentially war zones now with no real government in place, and we can see that more and more it's spilling over onto our side of the border as the criminal drug and smuggling gangs get bolder.

It's going to get uglier and uglier in the years ahead. It's a shame that Bush has no courage to deal with this problem, but it's going to have to be dealt with sooner or later.
