What happens if we also make it so all below the age of consent girls who have HPV must be reported to the police for a statutory rape investigation?

Seems only logical. If an underage girl has this disease, then she is active sexually and an adult might be involved.

Conservatives do not want to pay for this vaccine

Well at least now everyone knows that Governor Goodhair is no conservative.

It’s never good when some “conservatives” make it so easy for the liberals to call the rest of us idiots, which is the case here. Endless supply of ammunition given to them here.

More young girls will feel "safer" to engage in promiscuous sexual behavior with this shot.

Look at the past several decades, every time sex is made "safer," the result is more premarital sex. First it was the pill, then abortion, then all taboos associated with buying condoms were removed, then birth control patches and injections, now a shot to prevent an STD. The net result has been an increase in teen sex.

The other problem is that this will cause some women not to go get their pap smears.

Add the fact that there is almost no way for the guy to he has it: for the most dangerous variations, there are zero effects on the guy.

Yes; I hadn’t thought of that unintended consequence.

Given Merk's tactics, I think it justifies the government sizeing the patent and the product if it decides to make it available.

Wait, don't like that? But that is exactly what Merk would have the government do to the taxpayers.

How dare you cloud this discussion with a well-reasoned, logical position.

Has it, really? Or, do teenagers, well known for their ambition to be popular, and "in", and with it, and to wear the same clothes, etc., etc. conformist to the max, LIE to pollsters in a rather uniform manner, telling them what they think the pollsters want to hear.

Adult males eat this stuff up you know.

Most young girls will eventually graduate from highschool with no more idea of how vaccinations work than they did when they were 11 or 12.

No doubt the Nancy woman will detect that her friends are in trouble (and may not "give" as generously to the party this year) and will attempt to show us that after being vaccinated her viral eruptions went away.

Picture to follow ~ NOT!!!!

Don't give the old broad the opportunity to flash us.

OMG, where did I say THAT??? I never thought I was the only one (for cryin’ out loud, he was MARRIED before), I know his ‘history’ and I KNOW he visited a couple of prostitutes in Germany because he told me so. This was several years before I even met him. He was honest about it, way back when we started dating. Geez, I was the one who ASKED him if it was true about the ‘window girls’ in Amsterdam, lol. I’m much more pragmatic about that kind of thing than many women are.

Many people that carry the virus never even know they have it. It’s not hard to catch. I was vigilant about BC when we were engaged but I’d never even HEARD of HPV until I was diagnosed with it. I would venture to say that if everyone who posts here were tested, there would be a number of non-ho people (woman AND men) who would test positive.

If cancer is an appropriate punishment for those 14 year old ‘sluts’ that contract HPV, what is the appropriate punishment for the men that give it to them? In most cases, they’re not catching it from a 14 year old boy.....

What a message to 11 year old girls! "Here, girls - now you can totally act like sluts without fear. Go for it! Oh, and by the way, here's a card to the nearest Planned Parenthood center."

And what a benefit for Merck! How many 6th grade girls are there in public schools every year? Plus, what a huge test group. Any bad side effects down the road, with such a huge group, Merck can pull it later on.

*Conservatives* are *against* a vaccine. Those baaaaad conservatives. They'll be the death of us all.

Except that the liberals promoting the free sex lifestyle have already beat them to it. We wouldn't be needing vaccines like this if kids and adults weren't encouraged in the promiscuous behavior the resulted in the increased spread of these diseases.

What a racket; cause an epidemic, then provide the cure treatment for it. (That of course never just works in one dose.)
