Savage says he took off yesterday due to self-reflection in that he had hope Bush and the Repubs being in charge would help right all the wrongs done by the previous Clinton administration but now feels he has been suckered by this new type of Republicanism or as we all sickly know it now as 'compassionate conservatism.
Savage says Bush is the most inept CIC in the history of the Republic and needs to step down after appointing Gen Petraeus whose idea of a surge is more troops doing more of the same'winning the Islamic hearts away from Islam but instead are not only losing the heart of the Iraqi's due to continuous slaughter going on over there but also losing the hearts and support of the American people for this 'type of war'.
To: whatisthetruth
You are an idiot and offense is intended, thank you!
I listen to him a few nights a week. What do you say when wiener talks about how the war in iraq is lost? I like the guy. But give him a nice day on his boat in SF, a few cocktails, and his dog and who knows what his perspective will be next week.
His criticism of Rush is pathetic.

Savage depressingly says this type of public hand wringing from the General serves to only undermine the troops and demoralize those who had faith in their leaders.
To: whatisthetruth
They’re a wily bunch in Iraq, and they know more than anyone else what’s probably going to happen when and if you know what hits the fan.
I don’t think the shiites want anything to do with the sunnis, and vice versa.
They have all the time in the world to figure this out for themselves; but micromanaging the war from this part of the world is much more difficult than it appears.
And no, Mikey is not in good spirits on R’n’R Friday.
To: Vision
Nice okay so you have the credentials of a Bush-bot and also a Rush-bot a double water-carrying whammy that makes you a legit Savage critic?
Pls tell Savage and the Savage Nation just where so far do you see us winning the war? Give us a little of your vision, Vision?

Allright. I can recall a number of times when I disagreed with Mike, but didn’t consider him idiotic: just wrong.
To: Vision
Oh c’mon! Can’t you separate politics from personal life?
You go to a public event where everyone is out for a good time- schmooze around a little bit- so what’s he supposed to say?
“I saw Reid the vermin at the fights and....”
To: period end of story; michael savage
And no, Mikey is not in good spirits on R’n’R FridaySavage is not in good spirits because as he says he does his show for one purpose, to effect change for the good, but when there's no political leaders to turn to for hope, then why continue to do the show?
Savage you are one of the few, whereas others are content to carry the water that will inundate us under the sea of political correctness, you continue to carry the flame of truth that gives us the hope to carry on and America needs you more than ever now.

To: whatisthetruth
I have to admit, Savage is sometimes funnier when he’s in his depressed mode than his manic mode.
To: period end of story; All
I’m back. Has Savage mentioned those ingrates in the Iraq government taking TWO months off? Our soldiers are over there dying for those bastards, and they’ve decided to take time off when they’re needed the most?! GRRRRRRRRRR...

Hmmm, thought that vacation had been cancelled. If not, provides a good opportunity to bring our troops home. Screw the sunni/she-its, wasabis, and whatever else lives there.

I thought the same thing as you, for the longest time. I couldn’t tolerate Savage until sometime either early this year or late last year.
What won me over is that he loves this country and how can anyone who loves this country NOT BE ANGRY about what is going on all around us.

I believe Monday night Wiener said that- after talking to Harry Reid on Sat night at the Hoya fight- he was a great American.Think? I KNOW you are wrong, Savage did not call Reid a "great man" as you claim in any sense of the word, this is not the Hannity thread, where EVERYBODY is a "great" 'Merican.
Pls don't come on here with your distortions, lies, and smears, is your nickname 'Checkers' btw?

What type of meds are you on? I heard Savage talk about Reid, calling him one of the most 'powerful' government figures in America is not exactly calling him "great". Your hatred is showing. Not to mention his "I'm your arch-nemesis, Michael Savage" comment. Yeah, sounds like Savage and Reid are good friends. LOL! Instead of stalking the words and actions of a mere talk show host, you should be more concerned with issues such as Bush, Kennedy and McCain's amnesty for illegals plan.

Re: Patton Speech Mike played.(especially the parts he couldn’t say on the radio)
“I don’t want to get any messages saying, “I am holding my position.” We are not holding a Goddamned thing. Let the Germans do that. We are advancing constantly and we are not interested in holding onto anything, except the enemy’s balls. We are going to twist his balls and kick the living shit out of him all of the time. Our basic plan of operation is to advance and to keep on advancing regardless of whether we have to go over, under, or through the enemy. We are going to go through him like crap through a goose; like shit through a tin horn!”

That’s the Savage (strange) sense of humour. Those of us who “get it”, understand what Mike does.
On top of making political commentary, rightly or wrongly, mostly right, he’s a showman.
To: Tarkus2040
At the Hoya fight Savage was budding up to every politician in the audience. What killed me what his take on Reid.
