That was a exact quote of everything LEGITIMATE about Scientology...

*shrug* Actually there is a lot in scientology that is good and worth doing.

Here is the worst part of this story:

Though Henson was found innocent of long-range missile terrorism, for his activities he was convicted of interfering with a church — a California hate crime for which he received a six-month misdemeanor prison sentence.

Can anyone post this law for use to read. Hate Crime laws are now not just a theoretical threat to our freedoms, they are a active serious threat.

From Wikipedia:

According to Hubbard, some of the past traumas may have been deliberately inflicted in the form of "implants" used by extraterrestrial dictatorships such as Helatrobus to brainwash and control humans. Scientology doctrine includes a wide variety of beliefs in complex extraterrestrial civilizations and alien interventions in Earthly events, collectively described by Hubbard as "space opera". There is a huge Church of Spiritual Technology symbol carved into the ground at Scientology's Trementina Base that is visible from passing aircraft or from satellite photography.[31] Washington Post reporter Richard Leiby wrote, "Former Scientologists familiar with Hubbard’s teachings on reincarnation say the symbol marks a 'return point' so loyal staff members know where they can find the founder’s works when they travel here in the future from other places in the universe."[32]

Uh-huh.

“I rolled my eyes early on about the Scientologists not using the Internet.”

Did they give up on the “Net Nanny” they made the SeaOrg folks, et al, put on their computers to prevent access to “suppresive” sites? (Not that the SO have any time to browse the net — that 9 billion year contract and all.)

Criminal activities by the “Church” and poor writings of the “Founder” don’t help your position. Can’t even finish the book I picked up a long time ago, just painful.

Long Live Xenu!

I don't remember any 707s in Men In Black or in MIBII

So the South Park Scientology episode was a LIE!?!??!??!

Why hasn't the Church of Scientology gone after Trey Parker and Matt Stone the way they went after this guy?!?!?

Does the Church of Scientology only persecute little people who can't defend themselves?

Are they that big of cowardly bullies?

And lives. See a møøselimb doing something suspicious? Better to keep your mouf shut, even if a million might die, than to surely be sued for reporting it...

“Score one for scientology. I don’t see detractors of other, real religions hounded and prosecuted so fiercely.”

The Jews would beg to differ.

*ahem* A 9 billion year contract give you plenty of time to cruise the ‘net.

OTOH, you can’t afford access on an SO salary...

A nutbag right winged conservative posting an ignorant and stereotypical question...

I should, obviously, be imprisoned.

Careful, or you’ll be labeled suppresive.

Our resident Clam seems like a nice lady. Her website links to some weird rehab/mental health places with corporate shells and structures that scream C.O.S.

The little short gay guy who runs C.O.S. must be making a fortune.

Aparently the jury felt he had the ability to build or acquire a "Tom Cruise Missle". What a joke our legal system can be.

If I had more time I would love to read the trial transcipt. Sadly for him, he got convicted. This will be hard to overturn, especially given his fugative status.

The Governator should pardon him, if the facts are as claimed herein.
