That's a very myopic view. While I consider the war on terror important clearly there are other pressing issues that Bush has simply ignored. We need a president that can put his focus on all issues not just one.
If we don’t win the WOT, nothing else will matter.
We need to focus on more than JUST the war on terror, but the war on terror is the one issue we simply cannot afford to get wrong. I don’t choose Guliani because, while he’s right in what he says on the WOT, he’s wrong about so much else.
But Ron Paul’s approach to the war on terror will NOT work. He will make our country less safe, even if he does manage to do all the other things he says he will do. And that is unacceptable to me.
anyway, given his views are so opposed by most republican politicians, it would be like having an opposition party for him trying to get any of his ideas through congress. So even if he won and we didn’t get blown up by terrorists, you’d only end up frustrated as all of his submissions to congress were rejected by wide margins.
No war... no country...no issues

Yes, well, say it was the Japanese who attacked 0n 9/11, or the Germans, or the Russians. War is war, weather a low intensity conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, or a high intensity fight like WWII. The ultimate goal of our enemy is to destroy the United States and Western Civilzation. The goal of defeating our enemy is paramount and seems to be lost on the views of the far right.
Just because we are not losing 350 soldiers/day, like we did in WWII, does not make this was any less important. You'd be singing a diferent tune if You lost someone on 9/11, or had a son over in Afghanistan. Have you forgotten who attacked whom? Apparently so. As have most who put these social issues above national defense.
