ANN ARBOR, MI – The Thomas More Law Center, a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, announced today that it has filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Poway Unified School District, located in San Diego, California. The lawsuit was brought on behalf of Brad Johnson, a respected teacher who has been teaching in the school district for 30 years. The lawsuit claims that school officials violated Johnson’s constitutional rights by ordering him to remove several educational banners from his classroom walls because, according to these officials, the banners promote a “Judeo-Christian” viewpoint.

I suspect the school district will consult an attorney who will tell them the district is going to lose and have to pay the legal fees of the teacher. This will be resolved within the next week or so and the posters will stay.
I sometimes wonder if the all the fruit cakes that live in the Bay area have washed up on San Diegos shores like so much stinking kelp.

That regression is led by the "progressives". The only true skill liberals posses is an incredible ability to abuse language. Everything is the opposite of what they name it. They are not progressive, they are not liberal, they reject diversity, they don't believe in freedom of speech, they are not free thinking and they wish to promote a "fairness doctrine" that isn't fair. One is pretty much safe to conclude that whatever they label something they are in favor of...the truth is actually the opposite.

This day being the National Day of Prayer, I wore my tie to work with these words printed on the tie:
For God so Loved the World that He gave His only Begotten Son that whosoever Believeth in Him should not perish, but have Everylasting Life.
I work for a public school district in Northern California. I received a few comments of praise and none of condemnation (though some gave a certain kind of “look” when they noticed the message). I also wear a bracelet with, among charms showing support for our military, a small charm that says Jesus First, and another bracelet that says Pray for our Troops. I will not take these off while men and women are in harms way, including my son, nephew, 2nd cousin, and niece. If my district wishes to fire me for this, so be it. I can always find other jobs. I won’t compromise my Faith or my principles.
They encourage each other that despite what decision the judge made in one case, they can go ahead and violate the First Amendment all over again, and be taken to court yet again, without much punishment at all.
They even discuss such tactics in seminars.

We do need prayer - that All Christians will get involved in politics to change all the anti-Christian attacks we have been going through in this nation.
Having been taught the “turn a cheek” philosophy too well, Christians just take those abuses all the time. But if it was a minority, a feminist thing, Muslim thing, etc., we would definitely be hearing protests galore!
Christians need to be vocal now more than ever - before it is too late - Especially for the sake of our children and grandchildren! Remember what happened in Germany to the Jews?

A few years ago, an evangelical pastor came to address the student body of a Christian university on the East Coast. When he arrived, the president, an older gentleman who spoke with a German accent, greeted him. He asked to say a few words to the students before the service began.
“Today is an extremely important and painful day for me,” he said to the students. Silence fell over the room. Tears streamed down the old gentleman’s face.
“Today is November 9th, the 50th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the ‘night of the broken glass.’ On this day in 1938, Nazi thugs moved through the cities of Germany, smashing the windows of Jewish homes and shops, burning the synagogues. Innocent men, women and children were beaten and killed simply because they were Jews.
“I was there as a young man,” he sobbed, “and I can still hear the shattering glass. Many of us were Christians then, and we did nothing. … That was the beginning of the Holocaust, because the Jew-haters knew then no one would stand in their way.”
The old man quoted the words now inscribed in the Auschwitz memorial in Poland, the place where so many died. “Never again!” he pleaded. “Christian young people, we must never let it happen again!”
They are coming for us Christians!!

This school is not in the San Diego School District it is in the Poway Unified School district. This is the same school that in my junior year the valedictorian gave a speech that explained the gospel more clearly than many churches do today. He was given a standing ovation for this speech because in his time at high school he lived what he said. T

You are so right! Thanks for posting this article too. There is NO doubt that Christians are being targeted now. Sadly, we don’t have our government to stand by us any more. They are pandering to the LEFT!! If we don’t stand up for rightousness, and fight, our grandchildren will not have the freedom to worship Christ as we now know it! Even those who are on the sidelines “ talking” about the injustice, are going to have to grab a helmet,put on their “ fighten gear” and join up!!! Times are getting bad folks.

I understand. The thing to remember is to also pray for those who have never found or have lost God, that they are saved and come to Jesus. But, just in case, be ready to kick back when necessary.

that’s the school district that got rid of the female principal that checked girls for thong underwear at the prom.
the high school couples were having sexual intercourse on the prom dance floor—the girls bent over, the boys danced behind and dropped their zippers.
the mothers were livid, and they got this principal transfered.
They seek to expunge the history of this nation, toss out our Constitution, and replace it with a “Socialist Utopia”. The same fight the Left has been waging for over 80 years.
It is unreal how low and how fast our country has succumbed to immorality and filth.If we don’t stop the trend NOW, it is over. Once the ball builds momentum, going down that hill will be a breeze for the perverts!

In California, a three-judge panel of the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that a San Diego high school student may be barred from wearing a T-shirt displaying Christian messages in opposition to homosexuality.
The 2-1 decision upheld a lower-court ruling against Chase Harper, who was suspended by Poway High School for wearing a T-shirt displaying the messages: “Homosexuality is shameful” and “Our school embraced what God has condemned.”

Neither communism or socialism works. Liberals keep pushing it but fail to grasp this fact.
