It violates his rights, he says, in seeking case's dismissal

Pizza-delivery man Andres Vegas, who shot two people in seven months who were trying to rob him during deliveries, says the concealed-carry criminal charge against him ought to be tossed out for infringing on his constitutional rights.
In a motion filed in Milwaukee County Circuit Court this week, lawyers for Vegas - he is fighting a misdemeanor charge for carrying a concealed weapon - contended that the state's concealed-weapons statute can't fairly be used against him because his job with Mona Lisa Pizza takes him places where he needs the gun for security.
"This prosecution functionally disallows Mr. Vegas' exercise of his constitutional rights to keep and bear arms for defense and security," his attorneys, Craig Mastantuono and Rebecca M. Coffee, wrote in the motion.

Wisconsin needs legal concealed carry.
This guy is an otherwise law abiding citizen in a dangerous job who was charged by a new District Attorney several months after the former DA declined to charge him.
The libs would love to take away his rights to defend himself and stay alive. Libs must be defeated.
oooh, praying this case will lead to concealed carry for Wisconsin!
“charged by a new District Attorney several months after the former DA declined to charge him.”
I know that’s not double jeopardy, but it really ought to be;)
While in Illinois it's a felony.
Amen, there, kiddo....
Every state should have the same law and this is the way it should read:
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.
I’m pissed that Wisconsin is one of the last states not willing to pass concealed carry...and the DA prosecuting this is a newly elected jerk
The thing about concealed carry vs open carry, is that bad guys will hide their weapons no matter what the law says. When the good guys go with open carry, all it does is give the bad actors an advantage since they know who they have to take out.
Criminals in our system get a number of advantages, trial by jury, no self-incrimination, etc. Why give them more advantages than they already have?
“While in Illinois it’s a felony.”
But our pizza’s better.
Andres Vegas should be deputized and given permission to shoot any armed robbers. He should be given a medal for thinning out the criminal element
Apparently they haven’t heard about this up in Wisconsin...
I’m so glad that I moved from Wisconsin to Florida...:)
New York City has thin slice pizza and lots of crime. Plus it’s near impossibel to get a concealed carry permit
We have better thin crust pizza (don’t believe all that stuffed crust nonsense), we don’t put catsup on hot hot dogs like in New York, and if you do, we’ll shot you were you stand, concealed permit or not.
Must be a bigtime dumbass, thinks that he has to stay in Wisconsin to make a living! Hell, what do I know, maybe he is a cheese freak!
“Im so glad that I moved from Wisconsin to Florida”.
I’ve gotten to know a few...been here through several hurricanes (including 3 in 6 weeks in 2004) and apparently I will soon experience my first batch of wildfires...(one burns right now on the outskirts of town)
and what they do to chowda is criminal!
