Film Exposes U.S. Border War

Can a new film help derail the current push for amnesty for illegal aliens? Chris Burgard’s new movie “Border” is so good that it could dramatically affect the public debate. But because you can’t expect the major media to cover this shocking and poignant film, the challenge will be to make sure millions of Americans get a chance to see it. It tells the story of a war—a war just as important, if not more so, than the one in Iraq.

On April 23, 2007, as part of the Hold Their Feet to the Fire rally of 2007, an event designed to pressure the U.S. Government to protect and defend our borders, the Federation for American Immigration Reform held a screening of “Border” at the Union Station Phoenix Theatre in Washington D.C. At the screening, the courageous director, Chris Burgard, spoke, and national radio talk-show host G. Gordon Liddy delivered the opening remarks.

Before the movie began, Burgard told the capacity crowd that it took two years to make the film, and that he drew his inspiration to produce the documentary from reading Liddy’s book, “Fight Back!: Tackling Terrorism Liddy Style.” Burgard told the audience that Liddy’s book provided him with the confidence to believe that citizens can fight back against their government and win. He funded the entire film out of his own pocket...

That looks like a pretty cool movie-—I didn’t know about it until now. Thanks very much for the post.

I just watched both trailers, and as a sitting judge, who has dealt with illegals, the points made in these two clips are right on.

I have said it before and I will say it again, if the US Govt doesn't stop this, some people will. How the President is so blind to this is beyond my ability to comprehend.

He's not blinded to it. He just doesn't care. The mexification of the U.S. and Canada is a part of the demopublican agenda, and it won't be stopped.

Did you hear about FedGov sending letters to Texas Dept of Transportation and legislature threatening to cut highway funds if we don't build the TTC? They are serious about it. It will take massive resistance on our part to stop this mexification  and I'm not sure we're capable of it any more.

He just doesn't care.

I think he just cares more about appearing mean spirited. But, he signed up for the job, and part of that job is to provide for domestic security and to see laws are enforced. In this arena he has failed miserably.

I firmly believe the American people are about to have shamnasty shoved down our throats. There has been a deal made to cut wages in this nation dramatically. Americans are on the sidelines watching but we have little or no influence on our representatives. Americans are about to learn a hard lesson, in my opinion, and Americans may or may not sit still during this force feeding. If Americans sit still and allow shamnasty to take place, we will have lost the WOT, and only a decade or two later Americans will have lost their nation to people who came here illegally. To build the nation on a building block of illegality will certainly cause the demise of the nation. I recommend after the nation is lost, if one is still alive, to watch the mexicans and the arabs go at each other for complete control over the lives of those who used to be Americans. And don't bother wasting my time telling me it can't happen here.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

ACTION ONE Ask your Congressman/US Senators to stop all federal funds to any area where elected and appointed officials knowingly allow sanctuary policies and/or are using tax monies for illegal aliens. Let's see how long local/state governments pandering to illegal aliens can go without federal highway funds, education funds, research funds, housing funds, medicare funds, etc.

ACTION TWO Keep in mind local and state governments issue tax-exempt bonds to underwrite highways, education, housing expenditures, etc. These are referendums wherby voters vote for or against bonding.

Now that means when local and state governments advertise tax-exempt bonds for one purpose, then use tax-exempt funds to pander to illegals, to implement illegal sanctuary polices, tax-exempt bond investors (and voters) were misled.

The IRS and the SEC does not look kindly on those who mislead investors and the illegal use of tax-exempt funding. If your towns or states have such policies, the IRS and the SEC should be notified.

=========================================

EMAIL the SEC with your concerns about the use of tax-exempt bonds for illegal activities.

EMAIL enforcement@SEC.gov.

===========================================

The abuse of tax-exempt monies can be reported to the IRS here. You may remain anonymous if you wish.

PHONE THE IRS TOLL FREE 1-800-829-0433

===========================================

Elected and appointed officials who misled investors and/or who used tax-exempt funds for illegal activities should be reported here:

askDOJ@USDOJ, gov.

You should also report these individuals to your state DOJ's.

To: Liz; All

We would all do well to remember the facts presented last night by Robert Rector of Heritage: 12 to 20 million illegal aliens in this country. What is the cost of amnesty? The fiscal cost of amnesty for illegal aliens in the country?

ROBERT RECTOR, HERITAGE FOUNDATION: Illegal aliens cost a lot at the present time, but if you give them amnesty, one effect is that they will all have access to Social Security, Medicare, this program called Supplemental Security Income, Medicaid when they retire, OK?

So the real impact of amnesty would be — let’s say you have 12 million people. You give them amnesty. The impact of that, the net requirement cost alone would be negative $2.5 to $3 trillion. Negative $2.5 to $3 trillion.

DOBBS: $2.5 to $3 million?

RECTOR: Yes. And that’s with 12 million. You’re taking 10 million people and putting them into Social Security. That is one of the biggest budget impacts — that is the single budget — biggest budget impact I’ve seen in a quarter of a century. It’s fantastically expensive, and it is fantastically irresponsible for Congress to be contemplating that, and they don’t have a clue in the world, they don’t care what it will cost. RECTOR: You know what? If you look at low-skill immigrants, OK, which most illegals are, in fact, in every stage of their life cycle, they take more in benefits than they pay in, in taxes.

Each — each low-skilled immigrant — and illegals are predominantly low-skilled immigrants — that comes across to the United States, if they bring a family with them, the net cost that they impose on the taxpayers, benefits received minus taxes, is over $1 million over their lifetimes. It’s fantastically expensive.

RE: US Totalization Agreement with Mexico

The US provides Mexico with the nuclear umbrella—paid for by US taxpayers. Mexico has no welfare safety nets, health insurance, and no Social Security system.

The US voting system is hopelessly compromised by illegals using fraudulent documents to register and vote. The Social Security system is being looted by illegals use multiple SS numbers-—some even rent out SS cards numbers to get $3500 Earned Income Tax refunds

Now illegals can collect US Social Security with multiple fraudulent SS cards, whereas American citizens have to work and contribute far longer than illegals before collecting. Illegals here get paid under the table, don’t pay taxes, and send billions of US dollars back to their corrupt country.

A widely-used SS# scheme: the illegals name their anchor baby the same name as the parent. They obtain a valid SS# for the anchor baby; the parent uses it, no one checks beyond name-matching, if that.

Lou Dobbs reported illegals are stealing small childrens’ SS# because a child doesn’t use a number very often so it is near impossible to detect a stolen number. Dobbs also mentioned that business owners give illegals SS# of a previous employee (it is not a felony to give away SS#s but it is a felony to use them).Another twist.

Now illegals don’t have to use rented or fake SS# because they’ve just been granted the right to collect SS if they have worked a short time (44 monthes I think), whereas we the American citizen has to work for far longer before collecting.

Banks are kissing illegals butts with numerous giveaway ——everything from free money transfer to Mexico, lower interest loans, and so on. Illegals get loans; US citizens have to jump through hoops to get loans.

And what is the impact of the US Totalization Agreement with Mexico on the US Social Security Trust Fund? The Totalization Agreement would in effect ship our Social Security system to Mexico. It would allow millions of illegal Mexican workers to draw billions of dollars from the US Social Security Trust Fund.

The agreement between the U.S. and Mexico was signed in June 2004, and is awaiting the president’s signature.

Pretty soon US senior citizens will be on the Mexican “retirement system”-—selling sticks of chewing gum on street corners.

Most of our vote-hungry politicians are puckered up to illegals, pandering and falling over themselves to to give these invaders even more US government handouts-—handouts that working class taxpayers will have to subsidize.

Some Immigrants Are Offering Social Security Numbers for Rent

NY Times | 6/7/2005 | EDUARDO PORTER

Gerardo Luviano is looking for somebody to rent his Social Security number. Mr. Luviano, 39, obtained legal residence in the United States almost 20 years ago.

But these days, back in Mexico, teaching beekeeping at the local high school in this hot, dusty town in the southwestern part of the country, Mr. Luviano is not using his Social Security number. So he is looking for an illegal immigrant in the United States to use it for him - providing a little cash along the way. "I've almost managed to contact somebody to lend my number to," Mr. Luviano said. "My brother in California has a friend who has crops and has people that need one."

Mr. Luviano's pending transaction is merely a blip in a shadowy yet vibrant underground market. Virtually undetected by American authorities, operating below the radar in immigrant communities from coast to coast, a secondary trade in identities has emerged straddling both sides of the Mexico-United States border. The number of people participating in the illegal deals is impossible to determine accurately.

But it is clearly significant, flourishing despite efforts to combat identity fraud."There are people who live in Mexico who take $4,000 or $5,000 in unemployment in the off season," said Jorge Eguiluz, a labor contractor working in the fields around Stockton, Calif. "They just lend the number during the season."

The deals also generate cash in other ways. Most identity lending happens within an extended family, or among immigrants from the same hometown. But it is still a hard-nosed transaction. Illegal immigrant workers usually earn so little they are owed an income tax refund at the end of the year. The illegal immigrant "working the number" will usually pay the real owner by sharing the tax refund.

Since legal American residents can lose their green cards if they stay outside the country too long, for those who have returned to Mexico it is useful to have somebody working under their identity north of the border. "There are people who live in Mexico who take $4,000 or $5,000 in unemployment in the off season," said Jorge Eguiluz, a labor contractor working in the fields around Stockton, Calif. "They just lend the number during the season."The deals also generate cash in other ways.

"Sometimes the one who is working doesn't mind giving all the refund, he just wants to work," said Fernando Rosales, who runs a shop preparing income taxes in the immigrant-rich enclave of Huntington Park, Calif. "But others don't, and sometimes they fight over it. We see that all the time. It's the talk of the place during income tax time."

The income tax "refund" is almost certainly generated by Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) fraud, which as a "legal resident" the number renter would qualify to receive, especially if they have have or claim children. The EITC is a "refundable tax credit, which means the IRS will pay it out even if no taxes have been withheld or paid in. So the IRS gives filers who claim the EITC "refunds," even if they have had no taxes withheld. These number renters can claim up to $4,400 for the 2005 tax year in EITC "refunds," most of the number renters probably claim this maximum refund. --30--
