It's almost like the proverbial "one in a million." A tanker truck burning for hours right under a steel viaduct that just happens to feed one of the worst freeway bottlenecks in the country.
Rosie should understand such things - the odds of her becoming rich and famous were like that, given her personality and body shape.

just = job

I guess you could describe Rosie as a pig as big as a cow.

. Heat exceeded 2,750 degrees and caused the steel beams holding up the interchange from eastbound I-80 to eastbound Interstate 580 above to buckle and bolts holding the structure together to melt, leading to the collapse, California Department of Transportation director Will Kempton said. Yeah, bull! Everybody knows fire can't melt steel. Only super secret explosives developed by evil conservatives can do that and everybody knows that conservatives have no love in their intolerant little pea gravel hearts for California! Ipso facto...it's Bush's fault!

This is the comment being referred to...
Rosie Implies Captured Brits Are A Contrived ‘Gulf of Tonkin’ For War With Iran
On the March 26 edition of “The View,” co-host Rosie ODonnell discussed the Iranian seizure of British sailors. Rosie again gave out false information on national television and implied that this may be a hoax so to provide the president with an excuse to go to war.
“But interesting with the British sailors, there were 15 British sailors and Marines who apparently went into Iranian waters and they were seized by the Iranians. And I have one thing to say: Gulf of Tonkin, Google it. Okay.”
Rosie may have missed the news that not only do the United States and Britain insist they were not in Iranian waters, but Iraq and France do as well. Veteran journalist Barbara Walters did not bother to correct Rosie.

LOL! That’s the first thing that came to my mind when I heard that news report, too. Has Rosie addressed this? I can’t wait to see the spin!
To: soccermom
Look at the link in Post 41... She says that it’s different because the bridge is not a 45 story building... and we all know that they use different steel for buildings than they do for bridges.

Plain Carbon Steel loses essentially all of its strength at temperatures over 1400 degrees F. (This depends on the amount of carbon) . It transforms to a solid called Austenite which has consistency of stiff butter. However the strength of the material is decreasing all of the way up to this temperature. By 1000 degrees, it may only be 40% or less of the strength at room temperature. We are going for vapor at 3000 degrees.
