Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) has a piece at The Huffington Post called, "Standing with Harry Reid," where Kerry writes that "the [Republicans are] going after my friend and Majority Leader Harry Reid" who is being "unfairly attacked" for his comments on Iraq.
Kerry writes:
... the worst part is, the whole attack is based on a completely out-of-context quote. This is what Harry Reid really said, "And as long as we follow the President's path in Iraq, the war is lost. But there is still a chance to change course - and we must change course." Any questions?
Well, yes, Sen. Kerry, I can think of one.
But let's watch the video of Sen. Reid's comments, and see how it jibes with what you say Sen. Reid is being criticized for:
(go to web page to watch the video)
Hey whaddya know ... Sen. Kerry got it completely wrong. Go ahead, compare what Kerry points to and what the video shows you.
Notice the difference?
So I guess the "whole attack is based on a completely out-of-context quote" statement is inaccurate.
But then, Sen. Kerry knows that already.

Not having broadband Internet access, watching movies are pretty much out of the question for me.
Could somebody please post what Dingy says in the video?
Thanks much!

Maybe my junior senator believes he is talking to our fighting troops who are stuck in Iraq because they're not as intelligent as the gigolo. /sarc

Reid, from the video..
“now I believe, myself, that the sec of state, sec of defense and you have to make your own decisions what the president knows, that this war is lost and that the surge is not accomplishing anything as indicated by the extreme violence in iraq yesterday.”

To paraphrase:
"I believe, myself, that the Secretary of State, and the Secretary of Defense, and you can make your own conclusions as to what the President knows, that this war is lost, and that the surge is not accomplishing anything by the extreme violence in Iraq yesterday".This may not be exact, but it is close enough.

Too much “arthritis remedy” kept Teresa Heinz from “standing up” for Harry.

So democrat junior senator John Kerry came out and blatantly lied about the situation in an attempt to make others (the American public) believe something which is not true in order to make a traitorous fellow democrat’s horrible statement seem reasonable? What shocking dishonest behavior! (not!)
Isn’t John Kerry the same man who claimed “President” Nixon sent him to Cambodia at Christmas time 1968? Isn’t John Kerry the same man who claimed he had signed a Form 180 to release his military records but in fact has not signed?

I don’t recall John Friggin’ Kerry ever standing up for President Bush over “16 words”.

Good post!
My, my, even for Senator Kerry this was lame - really, really stupid. Lucky he has that rich wife of his, otherwise he might soon find himself in Iraq.....considering his intelligence and so forth....
