‘Bout time somebody fought back. These defeatocrats and their pimp media have gone on far too long with their anti-American rants.

This is about power; the Dems and the MSM want it. Thank God somebody in the administration is answering.

Reid couldn’t fight his way out of a wet paper sack.
If we can’t beat a few barbaric, ragtag militants, we are doomed in a real full scale war.
This mission has to succeed or we will be in a world of hurt militarily.

If Republicans would do this kind of thing on a daily basis, they would for sure have lots of voters on their side and a solid majority.

Since when is being bold about the truth supposed to be negative for Republican politics?
Do you think somewhere along the way Democrats got so deep into the heads of Republican politicians that they really got them believing that acting like sheep will get them votes as Democrats act as predators?

Makes no sense to me and the Republicans growing b@lls is long over due IMO.

Excellent, just wish Bush and co. would speak more like that rather than sit back and take it. One thing I can`t stand about Bush is he doesn`t lay these Treasoncrats out. It`s bad enough he isn`t prosecuting them, but to remain silent while they commit treason day after day after day after day after day is outrageous. For example, what the hell is being done about traitor Nancy Pelosi and her “terror tour”?

This needs to be done on an HOURLY basis, with different people in the “Bush Administration” or I can’t take this seriously. This is a nice start but coming out and being truthfully angry once every six months DOESN’T get it done.

Let's face it, a majority of the American people would like to grab GWB by the lapels and tell him to start defending this nation's policies by rallying the public and criticizing these leftist democrats.

And let's face something else: GWB isn't going to do it. He is going to continue legitimizing a wildly leftist democrat party by saying they are all good patriots, just a difference of opinion, ad nauseum.

Reid and Pelosi are sitting ducks whio the public will never warm to, IF Bush would just call them what they are.

I truly hate republican "leaders".

A good measure of how effective Mr. Cheney’s response was is the reaction of the Democrats. They are...say it with me...”deeply offended”. The Vice President seems to have hit the mark.

He does not “lay these Treasncrats out” because he respects the office of President of the United States and always acts as the President of the United States.

It is appropriate for his Vice President or other administration officials OR HIS PARTY MEMBERS IN THE CONGRESS to stand up and fight the name calling battles for him. Afterall, he does have a lot on his plate merely trying to fight two wars, get money from Congress and survive daily.

Bush, Cheney and all true lovers of America need to call out the traitors by name. I like that VP Cheney did this. I want them to start calling out leftist politicians and media twits -Rosie, Crow, etc. - on a daily bases.

The media won't be able to resist a fight and will actually get some of the conservative point of view out.

My dial up can’t hack it. But I got the gist of what Dick had to say. Snake should just slither under some rock and shut up. And his counter part in the HR should do likewise. If it where not for the L/MSM screening the news from reporting the hundreds of success stories in Iraq, these two and their minions would not even make public statements regarding the GWOT. They would be laughed at then voted out of office.

“If Republicans would do this kind of thing on a daily basis, they would for sure have lots of voters on their side and a solid majority.”

Remember the goode olde days when Frist and Hastert did their best?

Truth for me is: GWB has been ineffective at communicating the muslim terrorism wars. He’s had some bright days, but overall not effective.

His ineffectiveness opened the way, gradually but surely, for the dems and media to paint Iraq as misguided.

GWB in his 2nd term reminds me of GWHB during his “campaign” for a 2nd term—uninterested.

So yes, Cheney tells the truth. But for me, it is too little, too late, not often enough, etc. I wish that was not the case.

I agree, I kept saying that Bush needed to educate the public with Reagan like fireside chats. Instead, he let Democrats, the press, socialist Europe and even Radical Islam use him like a punching bad.

Stupid Stupid Stupid IMO.

What good is the position of President if George Bush refused to use all of it for the good of what he was trying to get done?
A lot of this made no sense to me.

This made my whole day. Too bad Dick Cheney isn’t running for President in 2008. The famous sneer was great. Says it all.

BTW, Dick Cheney is going to be in my neck of the woods, he is speaking at the BYU commencement on Thursday, April 27. The protestors have asked Ralph Nader to come to their ‘alternative’ commencement. They are busing in protestors from SLC to make the number around 2,000 attendees. Such delusions.

Harry Reid has said he will not believe David Petraeus if Petraeus reports progress in Iraq as he’s expected to do. In other words, in addition to his declaration of defeat last week, Reid has now in essence called General Petraeus a liar. Let us not forget that this is the same senator who nearly clucked with joy over the prospect of gaining additional Senate seats because the situation in Iraq would be less than satisfactory when the next election season rolls around.

Click over and watch the video. I guarantee it will anger the blood.

Democrats Skip Briefings, No MSM Reports
http://www.theconservativevoice.com/article/24573.html

reporting that the Democrats are ignoring important Iraq briefings conducted by General David Petraeus in an apparent effort to stymie efforts in Iraq. It is well known that they are not supportive of the troops in Iraq and the president’s “surge” plan they are currently conducting, but whether they like the plan or not, to skip these briefings is an act of blatant negligence that borders on the criminal. So where is the MSM’s outrage? Why are we not being told of this Democrat negligence?

Barone, one of the best political pundits out there today, closed his recent Real Clear Politics Report with the following:

[What’s curious is that congressional Democrats don’t seem much interested in what’s actually happening in Iraq. The commander in Iraq, Gen. David Petraeus, returns to Washington this week, but last week Pelosi’s office said “scheduling conflicts” prevented him from briefing House members. Two days later, the members-only meeting was scheduled, but the episode brings to mind the fact that Pelosi and other top House Democrats skipped a Pentagon videoconference with Petraeus on March 8.]

It has also been reported that one recent meeting with Gen. Petraeus on the Hill only saw one Democrat in attendance, that being Senator Carl Levin of Michigan.

It might be too early to say directly that it is some concerted effort or plan of the Democrat leadership to steer clear of Iraq briefings, but at the very least it certainly reveals their collective feeling that the war is already lost and that it’s time to move on past it all.

But here is the thing; they simply cannot claim to “support the troops” if they won’t even attend briefings held by the General in command of those troops. If the Democrats don’t attend these briefings they simply cannot claim to have the knowledge they need to make decisions necessary for policy direction. Unless, that is, they have fully decided, regardless of what is actually going on on the ground where our troops are facing the enemy, that all is lost.

If they have, indeed, completely quit wanting to have the discussion of what is actually going on in theater, then it is downright abusive of our troops for Democrats to ignore them in this way. This unconcern over what is happening to our forces simply makes it impossible for the Democrats to claim they support the troops.

It should be remembered that General Petraeus was given a unanimous vote in Congress and he never made any bones about the fact that he intended to implement the president’s surge plan, so Democrats simply cannot claim they didn’t know he was going to do so. But, it appears that the support they gave him for the surge was a cynical attempt to allow the plan to crash and burn if their ignoring his efforts to inform them of the actual accomplishments of the plan is any indication.

I have seen a few pundits and commentators claiming that the Democrats are somehow putting themselves in a bad position by ignoring these briefings and to that I say pish tosh. They have surely weakened their moral position and made their claims of supporting the troops untenable, but this will probably not harm them at all — not that it shouldn’t. The problem with the feeling that this will harm the Democrat Party is that no one, by and large, will ever hear of this betrayal of our troops. It is doubtful whether the story will ever break through the din of the cycles controlled by a news media supportive of the Democrat agenda.

In any case, the Democrat Party is acting irresponsibly to say the least, criminally at the worst. The biggest question, however, is will the News Media allow the American people to become aware that the Democrats are so badly falling down on the job? Will they be held accountable for the harm they are causing our country, cause and our troops not to mention the harm they cause the Iraqi people by this turning away from their needs and concerns?

Sadly, my guess is no.
