Hillary's Open Borders Disgrace-recent appointment reveals the "activist" nature of her campaign
FrontPageMagazine.com ^ | April 24, 2007 | John Perazzo

Posted on 04/24/2007 5:09:52 AM PDT by SJackson

Hillary Rodham Clinton’s position on illegal immigration is an unmitigated disgrace, and American voters ought to be aware of it.

Last Thursday Mrs. Clinton appointed an individual named Raul Yzaguirre, identified as a “Hispanic civil rights activist,” to co-chair her presidential campaign and to direct her outreach efforts to Hispanic voters. Proud to have an opportunity to help the Senator’s cause, Yzaguirre
beamed: “Hillary Clinton has spent more than three decades advocating on behalf of those who are invisible in
America. Not only is she the most experienced and qualified candidate to be president, Senator Clinton has the ability to bring people together to get results and move this country forward.”

Let’s take a look at the man who spoke these words, and who was entrusted by Mrs. Clinton to fill one of the most vital positions in her campaign.

For fully three decades, from 1974 to 2004, Yzaguirre served as President and CEO of the
National Council of La Raza, an organization that:

·        views the United States as an irredeemably racist nation

·        favors racial and ethnic preferences for minorities in the workplace and in higher education

·        supports open borders and amnesty for all illegal aliens

·        supports the DREAM Act, which is designed to allow illegal aliens to attend college at the reduced tuition rates normally reserved for in-state legal residents

·        advocates “reform” that would give illegal aliens full access to taxpayer-funded health care services

·        characterizes any reduction in government assistance to illegal border-crossers as “a disgrace to American values

·        supports access to driver’s licenses for illegal aliens

·        supports voting rights for illegal aliens

·        opposes the Aviation Transportation and Security Act requiring that all airport baggage screeners be U.S. citizens

·        opposes the Clear Law Enforcement for Criminal Alien Removal Act, which would empower state and local police to enforce federal immigration laws

·        opposes the REAL ID Act, which requires that all driver’s license and photo ID applicants be able to verify they are legal residents of the United States, and that the documents they present to prove their identity are genuine.

At many of the “pro-immigration” rallies that NCLR members have attended in recent times, their signature slogan has been: “La Raza unida nunca sera vencida!” (“The united [Hispanic] race will never be defeated!”)

All of the foregoing views are Yzaguirre’s as well. Every single one of them.

While heading NCLR, Yzaguirre also condemned groups (such as the organization US English) that call for English to remain the primary language spoken in the United States. “US English is to Hispanics as the Ku Klux Klan is to blacks,” he said.

In 2001, NCLR formed focus groups to study how the American public felt about the word “amnesty” vis a vis immigration policy. After the focus groups reported that the public’s reaction was extremely negative, Yzaguirre advised then-Mexican President Vicente Fox to avoid using the term ever again. He urged Fox instead to employ such euphemisms as “regularization,” “legalization,” “normalization,” “permanence,” “earned adjustment,” and “phased-in access to earned regularization.”

In Yzaguirre’s view, illegal aliens are best described as “hardworking people who are paying taxes, who are helping this economy.” “They are benefiting you and I,” he adds. “They’re making it possible for you to send your grandmother to a nursing home to get taken care of.…[T]hey are creating jobs, not taking away jobs.” About the enormous social, political, and economic costs that illegal immigration imposes on American society, he is silent.

Yzaguirre opposes the imposition of sanctions against employers who hire illegal immigrants, claiming that such policies create “massive levels of discrimination against Hispanics.”

In fact, Yzaguirre rejects the very use of the term “illegal.” “Why are we calling them illegals?” he asked Pat Buchanan during a 2001 debate. “If you [are] calling them illegals you’ve got to call every employer an illegal, every consumer an illegal, everybody who hires them an illegal. Let’s -- if you are going to paint somebody with that brush,…let’s be equal about it. You are talking about a police state.…Draconian steps that would create a police state based on fear-mongering.” He then told Buchanan that modern day illegals “did same thing that your ancestors did.” When Buchanan replied that his forebears “came here legally,” Yzaguirre retorted: “What’s the difference? You can change the laws?”
In 2004 Yzaguirre characterized the Border Patrol’s arrest of illegals in a number of southern California communities as “a clear assault on civil rights in an area with a sizable Latino population.”

While heading NCLR, Yzaguirre also condemned groups (such as the organization US English) that called for English to remain the primary language spoken in the United States. “US English is to Hispanics as the Ku Klux Klan is to blacks,” he said.

Notably, Yzaguirre is not the only open borders advocate who has joined Hillary Clinton’s campaign this year. Last month, the New York Senator also welcomed former National Council of La Raza Chairman Jose Villareal aboard her express train to the White House. Villareal has served Democrat candidates and office-holders before. He was an aide to President Bill Clinton, a fundraiser and campaign co-chair for John Kerry in 2004, and the treasurer of Al Gore’s 2000 presidential bid.

The issue of import here is not Raul Yzaguirre’s or Jose Villareal’s unmistakable desire to dissolve America’s borders and to welcome all current illegal aliens as new U.S. citizens and voters. The issue of import is that Hillary Clinton, who wishes to get your vote for President of the United States, has willfully selected these individuals to work for her campaign. She knows exactly who they are and what their agendas are.

Consider very thoughtfully what these selections say about Mrs. Clinton.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mrs Clinton kept Bill Clinton around as her faux husband so she could be President.
She has lied ,cheated ,stolen,broken campaign finance laws, hidden bodies in parks.
Everything that needs to be said about Hillary’s ambitions has been said over and over and still there are zombies that would follow her to grave.
She is totally without ethics, patriotism, love of God or Love of offspring. She is a totally worthless human being and yet she is running for President and has a chance.
Yzaguirre is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and was a member of the Independent Task Force on North America. In May 2005, task force published Building a North American Community. A plan that calls for the merger of the United States, Mexico and Canada.
So, Mrs. Clinton has added the creation of Aztlan to her presidential campaign platform. "The late Rep. Charlie Norwood wrote an excellent article for Human Events in April 2006 that explained the La Raza’s close ties with Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA). The takeover plan is referred to as the “reconquista” of the Western U.S. and it features ethnic cleansing of Americans, Europeans, Africans and Asians once the area is taken back and converted to Aztlan.
"He wrote: “Behind the respectable front of the National Council of La Raza lies the real agenda of the La Raza movement, the agenda that led to those thousands of illegal immigrants in the streets of American cities, waving Mexican flags, brazenly defying our laws, and demanding concessions.Key among the secondary organizations is the radical racist group Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlan, or Chicano Student Movement of Aztlan (MEChA), one of the most anti-American groups in the country, which has permeated U.S. campuses since the 1960s, and continues its push to carve a racist nation out of the American West.”
The takeover plan, referred to as the “reconquista” of the Western U.S., calls for ethnic cleansing of Americans, Europeans, Africans and Asians once the area is taken back and converted to Aztlan.
THE ANSWER IS A BIG FAT - NO!!!
Why would anybody want her advocating for them when she has not accomplished anything in 3 decades ..?? ... amazing!
Yes, Hillary has a chance because of people like my co-worker who is planning to register to vote for the first time (she’s over 30), just so she can vote for Hillary (only because it’s historic - first woman president garbage).
How stupid is that ..??
Radio Talk show Host, Phil Valentine is in DC this week with the “Hold their feet to the fire” grass roots Americans who are working against the illegal alien invasion. There’s a guy on with Phil who said that the illegal aliens only represent about 2% of the country’s work force If they didnt turn up for work in the morning a factory owner could say to his American citizen employees,”OK your morning and afternoon coffee break have been cut back to 9 minutes. Now lets get to work and finish the days allotment of output and you can go home at five. Im going to hire some more people and then your coffee break time will go back up to 15 minutes”
The guy said thats all it really means....The illegal aliens would not be missed..
Demand the Media "Tell the Truth!" about Immigration!
About the Petition:
The liberal media is not disclosing the real truth about immigration. American citizens are not being told the full story, and are being deceived with misinformation.
A prime example is the recent PEW Research Survey that showed that 77 percent of the American people did not want an increase in legal immigration;yet the media refused to report it, or they manipulate the numbers. Left unchecked and unchallenged, the medias biased reporting, will sway the outcome of the immigration debate.
That is why Grassfire has launched a national Demand the Media Tell the Truth!" about Immigration petition. Teaming with the nations foremost media watchdog group, the Media Research Center, we want to give outraged citizens a true platform to help usher in a new era of responsibility and truth in reporting as it pertains to immigration!
Headed by media expert Brent Bozell, the Media Research Center is leading the charge in this effort. Each day, MRC analysts and researchers painstakingly chronicle and expose the medias immigration bias. By signing this petition you will be joining a fast-growing grassroots army that is demanding the truth from the media!
Here’s what I found on illegitimate births to migrants.
The illegitimacy rate among the native-born is 50 percent for Hispanics; 30 percent for Asian/Pacific Islanders, and 24 percent for whites.
* 2003 is the first time that the absolute number of illegitimate births to Hispanic women (immigrant and native) outnumbered illegitimate births to black women (immigrant and native).
* Out-of-wedlock births are highest for those with the least education; among immigrant mothers who lack a high school diploma, 45 percent of births are illegitimate
* There is no evidence that illegitimacy is related to legal status. It is common in many sending countries, regardless of how their immigrants arrived here. According to the UN, 38 percent of births are illegitimate in both Mexico and Canada, 73 percent in El Salvador, and 86 percent in Jamaica.
* The high rate for Hispanic immigrants also seems unrelated to legal status because only one-fifth of non-Mexican Hispanic immigrants are illegal aliens, yet their illegitimacy rate is 45 percent. This compares to 41 percent for Mexican immigrants, fully half of whom are illegal.
* The high levels of out-of-wedlock births among native-born Hispanics also suggests that cultural factors play a significant role in explaining high illegitimacy among that group.
I believe that was in a Heather McDonald article
She says 95% of outstanding warrants for murder in LA are for that bunch too
LA & other cities have 45%-55% of public housing now by *illegal aliens (*not supposed to qualify of even be in the USA)
That (sorry!) about 45% do not pay taxes
Now wonder CA, LA, NYC, etc are going down the tubes slamming legal Americans for higher income taxes, fees, whatever - NYC Mayor Bloomberg is screaming “population explosion in NYC” while proposing a daily $8 vehicle entry fee into NYC plus 112 other “Greenie” scams
Bloomberg now admits he is worth over 13 billion, not 8 billion
$8 will not hit “Mayor Bloomies”
$40 a week after taxes (a fees) hits the workers - even middle class and high income
You just know Bloomie would exempt below certain incomes
And “domestic coyotes” would collect $4 a day and fill vans to smuggle in workers
The problem is few American babies are born in many areas in the USA (and nationwide in comparison) to “anchor babies” - which can allow another 112 foreign family members to legally enter the USA
Insanity
You are paying the taxes so illegal aliens can have 3-8 kids here (on freevies and no taxes) and you cannot afford to raise 2 kids and send them to college?
My stats are not written in stone
I can be and have been wrong
In 2000 in Florida approximately (per media) convicted crimnal felons voted at a 75% rate for algore
In 2000 thousands of NY, NJ, CT, PA and other registered voters also voted in Florida
Think about that kids!
My own old hometown in south Florida went heavy duty for George W. Bush in 2000
Just those in our HS made the difference over algore
The reason?
A good and honest Civics & History teacher and other teachers there
That is in a very liberal democrat county
A few can make a huge difference
Right now in Indiana there is a huge violent prison riot - convicted felons from the southwest transferred to Indiana are “upset”
Hillary & the democrats are demanding states & the feds give convicted felons now serving in prison the right to vote
Also any that have served their sentences - and without any background checks or montoring by parole officers or police or anyone
Not many more democrat votes you say?
Remember 2000 in Florida!
Slick Willie told algore to withdraw his concession to GW Bush and “take it to court”
Just like Kerry tried in Ohio in 2004
Heather McDonald does the best research and writing on illegal aliens, crime, other subjects
Nothing I have ever seen here publish or state on TV or radio has ever been disproved
-
My written stats & info are from recall unless I give sources and links
That % may be in one area of CA
I do not live there myself
There are some wild high stats that exist in some spots
I am not including only illegals
An 16 year old anchor baby will vote for Hillary in 2008
And her illegal alien mommy & daddy may be voting 1-8 times each in many SW states were IDs are not checked or required
I guarantee that I intended too I can easily register under 100 aliases in each of 10 states and each vote will count
That is 1000 votes
Recall in one college in 2000 that students were voting mutiple times
One millionaire NYC democrat women went to Pennsylvania and gave out cartoons of free cigarettes to street people after they were driven to vote - She was never charged
And in PA, FL, elsewhere - some minority precints votes at 107% of the those registered to vote in that precinct
One was in Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Not 40%
Not 50%
Not 60%
107%
In 1996 algore saw to it that over 60,000 illegal aliens were made instant US citizens in crooked “mills” and voted
This is only a drop in the bucket
Evidently about 25% of criminal felons voting in 2000 in Florida voted for George Bush or someone else - That is bad and they should have been prosecuted, tried, convicted, sent back to prison
75%% voted for algore
75%
democrats seem to be more efficient
And now some states allow convicted felons to vote and Hillary wants them all to vote
Jan Mikelson 1040 WHO-AM Des Moines back from yesterdays DC "Hold Their Feet To The Fire" reports estimated 70,000 illegal aliens in Iowa cost taxpayers approximately 100 million a year.
Democrats have the trifecta in Iowa: the governor's mansion, state senate, state house of representatives; pushing now for same-day registration.
This is the secretary of state who issued election information in Spanish--despite protests from WHO-AM afternoon host Steve Deace who cited state constitution says official business to be conducted in English.
Apparently 70,000 new "guests" don't need no stinking constitution.
Thanks for that info AuntB but I was quesioning devolve’s statistic that 90% of births in CA are to illegals.
In some area hospitals that is correct, not for the entire state. There were a couple articles last week about it. I heard a nurse from Vegas talking about it on radio as well. She said the worst part of it was the hordes that crowd into the rooms and party all night. They're afraid to complain! 90% is not unheard of. And your tax dollars pay for every one of 'em.
Parkland Hosp. Dallas
http://www.snopes.com/politics/immigration/parkland.asp
70% of women who gave birth at Parkland in the first 3 months of 2006 were illegal immigrants. That's 11,200 anchor babies born in JUST DALLAS every year. (patient survey)
Very interesting article. Won't copy and paste for some reason.
Colorado
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3827/is_200208/ai_n9125198
Last year [2001- lots more now!] the taxpayers who finance Medicaid paid the hospital bill for 6,000 illegal aliens to have their babies in Colorado. This totaled $30 million, an average of $5,000 per baby.
Those 6,000 births to illegal aliens are 40% of the births paid for by Medicaid in Colorado. Those 6,000 babies immediately became U.S. citizens and qualified for all Medicaid services at a cost that is not even tabulated.
To get immediate care, the illegal only has to say she is “undocumented.” Pregnant American mothers can’t avoid their birth-of— a-baby expenses so easily.
This Colorado information was reported by Al Knight of the Denver Post editorial board. He concluded with a fascinating comment: “There are many groups and interests that for one reason or another don’t want this information to be available or to be discussed.”
He didn’t identify the “groups and interests.” Who they are would be a good question to ask your Member of Congress, along with why Congress isn’t doing its duty to protect Americans from the continued influx of illegal aliens.
Denying emergency medical care in any situation is not going to happen. Best way to handle this is to bill Mexico (or whatever country they are from) for medical costs to their citizens and change the system that allows the children of non citizens born in the US to become automatic citizens.
I’ve lived in SC all my life, I am well aware of the issues much more so than most others. Particularly those who because they only recently have been able to experience the illegal alien issue, are just now finding out what the costs are for their own states...and who ignored our pleas thirty years ago when we could have solved the problem.
NEVER FORGET
HILLARY RODHAM was on the side of Communist North Vietnam’s push to take over a then Free South Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
WILLIAM CLINTON went to the Communist Soviet Union to pick up his Communist funding for the 3 Anti-U.S. Demonstrations he was organizing for outside our London Embassy during the Vietnam War.
For...
...the Enemy is now Within
...and always has been.
NEVER FORGET
Casually throwing out erroneous information is no way to bring people to your opinions. At this point, anything devolve says goes in the trash bin (not that they are a bad person, just that they cannot be trusted anymore). One should be more concerned about how their credibility is handled.
I would correct on important point on the Dream Act.
the Dream Act is intended to undo the 1996 Immigration Reform Act. It was intended to eliminate the anchor babies which were an excuse to keep people in the USA.
The Dream Act is pure amnesty not only to illegals but also the families of the citizen born children of illegals who then are able to bring their quota of family members.
It is FAR more sinister than just instate tuition. It is derivative amnesty.
