If there’s a PGR contingent that shows up, good on them, not a choice, not an option for me and I won’t care if others go.
It is still my opinion that the murdered victims from VT are still not within the original intended mission scope of PGR. PGR wasn’t organized until the WBC started harrassing military funerals.
People seem to like the spectacle of bikers on parade and think its cool. But we have to draw lines somewhere or else the PGR becomes a volunteer funeral escort for anyone and everyone.
EOD, on the other hand, have actually done something for our freedom and I personally owe them some respect for taking out detected IEDs.
On another note, here's something from the PGR site:
Some of the victims in this tragedy were members of the Virginia Tech ROTC program. If we are invited by their families, as an organization we will accept these missions and do whatever we can. However, some of the victims were not involved in the military. For those, the Patriot Guard Riders as an organization will not be involved. That being said, let me continue

Yep. And as I expected, at least one of the murdered students came from a military family, her father being former USAF.
And Peruvian student Daniel Perez Cueva, killed in his French class, is the brother-in-law of a soldier now fighting in Iraq.
