Rudy Giuliani Supports Partial Birth Abortion.
Republicans DON'T!!

[GEORGE] WILL: Is your support of partial birth abortion firm?
Mayor GIULIANI: All of my positions are firm. I have strong viewpoints. I express them. And I--I do not think that it makes sense to be changing your position....
ABC News February 6, 2000

TUCHMAN: Giuliani was then asked whether he supports a ban on what critics call partial-birth abortions, something Bush strongly supports.
GIULIANI: No, I have not supported that, and I don't see my position on that changing.
- CNN December 2, 1999

BLITZER: If you were in the Senate and [President Clinton] vetoed, once again, the [ban on the] so-called partial-birth abortion procedure, you would vote against sustaining that against the -- in favor of the veto in other words, you would support the president on that.
GIULIANI: Yes. I said then that I support him, so I have no reason to change my mind about it.
BLITZER: All right. So the bottom line is that on a lot of these very sensitive issues whether on guns, abortion, patients' bill of rights, taxes, you are more in line with the president and by association, with Mrs. Clinton, than you are against them.
- CNN February 6, 2000

MR. RUSSERT: A banning of late-term abortions, so-called partial-birth abortions--you're against that?

MAYOR GIULIANI: I'm against it in New York, because in New York...

MR. RUSSERT: Well, if you were a senator, would you vote with the president or against the president? [Note: President Clinton was in office in 2000]

MAYOR GIULIANI: I would vote to preserve the option for women. I think that choice is a very difficult one. It's a very, very--it's one in which people of conscious have very, very different opinions. I think the better thing for America to do is to leave that choice to the woman, because it affects her probably more than anyone else....

MR. RUSSERT: So you won't change your view on late-term abortion in order to get the Conservative Party endorsement?

MAYOR GIULIANI: It isn't just that. We shouldn't limit this to one issue. I'm generally not going to change my views
- NBC Meet the Press, February 6, 2000

***Note: the version of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban that Giuliani opposed in 2000, that he said he supported Bill Clinton in vetoing the Republican-controlled Congress's legislation, contained the exception for the life of the mother that Rudy is now trying to pretend is a prerequisite for his support of it.

8 GONZALES v. CARHART

Opinion of the Court

before the Senate Judiciary Committee:

“‘Dr. Haskell went in with forceps and grabbed the baby’s legs and pulled them down into the birth canal. Then he delivered the baby’s body and the arms— everything but the head. The doctor kept the head right inside the uterus. . . .

“‘The baby’s little fingers were clasping and un- clasping, and his little feet were kicking. Then the doctor stuck the scissors in the back of his head, and the baby’s arms jerked out, like a startle reaction, like a flinch, like a baby does when he thinks he is going to fall.

“‘The doctor opened up the scissors, stuck a high- powered suction tube into the opening, and sucked the baby’s brains out. Now the baby went completely limp. . . .

“‘He cut the umbilical cord and delivered the placenta. He threw the baby in a pan, along with the placenta and the instruments he had just used.’” Ibid.

Rooty said today he AGREES with the USSC decision on PBA.

ROTFLMBO.

Now, stay tuned----Turdiani will issue a retraction faster than you can say
"dilation and curettage on the taxpayers' dime." Rooty is joined at the hip with
the pro-abort crowd. They'll NEVER let their boy off the leash. Rooty stays in
obedience school.

"Oh, please, let me sound like a conservative. I need all those dumb
pro-life Christian conservatives to make a decent primary showing."

Here is ruthie on the decision today (the last sentence is alarming!)

Ginsburg, who called the decision alarming, took the rare step of reading parts of her dissent from the bench.

“In candor, the Partial Birth Abortion Act and the court’s defense of it cannot be understood as anything other than an effort to chip away at a right declared again and again by this court - and with increasing comprehension of its centrality to women’s lives,” she said.”

Host Alan Colmes: "Now, Roe versus -- now, you are pro-choice. How important is it to you as a pro-choice Republican to have a pro-choice on the court as someone...

Giuliani:"That is not the critical factor. And what's important to me is to have a very intelligent, very honest, very good lawyer on the court. And [John Roberts] fits that category, in the same way Justice Ginsburg fit that category. I mean, she was -- she maybe came at it from a very different political background, very qualified lawyer, very smart person. Lots of Republicans supported her. I expect, and listening to Senator Nelson, I expect that John Roberts will get support from a lot of Democrats."

Look, we've got to get beyond this single issue stuff. Without Rudy, we're all gonna die. Only Rudy can stop Hillary. Elect Rudy or the terrorists will get us. Rudy hates abortion but he was too busy leading the war on squeegee men to do anything about it, and besides, the courts have spoken and abortion is the law of the land. /sarc

/preemptive statement of Rudybot philosophy.

No other Republican nor any other “Republican” can beat Hillary in the general election.

Thus, in the general elction, you will have a choice: Cast your vote for Hillary or for Rudy.

I will cast my vote for Rudy.
