Bush has done more for world peace any other statesman or politician excluding Reagan, and as such no one deserves the Nobel Peace prize more than him. I hope some group at least nominates Bush like they did Rush, to make that point.

This could be a tipping point in support from the base for this war.

At the heart of it, we are back to the question of whether Islam is compatible with a Constitutional Representative Government, or Modernity.

I am less interested in what the US Army does, than what Maliki does.

Christians in a Baghdad neighborhood are being required to pay a "protection tax" because Muslims have begun enforcing an Islamic law demanding either the tribute – or conversion to Islam, according to Christians in Iraq.

Nothing surprising here. The Muslims are just simply following their religion as written in the Koran.
It's not your religion or mine, it is Islam.

What part of the following would you have trouble interpreting if you were a Muslim:
9.29: Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

“I’d pay the tax in hot lead.”

So would I, but in addition to all what has been mentioned by others already, in an Islamic state under Sharia law, dhimmies are not allowed to own weapons of any kind.
Sharia law dictating the dhimmi status, thus creates a perfect condition of apartheid, and I sometimes wonder what happened to all those people that zealously and sometimes even violently demonstrated and campaigned against apartheid. They must have fallen asleep or something.

Maybe it’d be a good idea for the U.S. military to train and arm some of these Christian and Jewish Iraqis, instead of kitting out a complete force of thugs and criminals that calls itself the Kosovo Liberation Army.

Shut our borders and stop immigration. If they cannot get here, ends the problem.

The 9/11 terrorists came here legally and did not cross from the Mexican borders illegally. Any future terrorist attack in the US, GOD FROBID, will be conducted by islamic terrorists who have an EU or Canadian or any other passport that does not require a visa to enter the United States. It can be also conducted by islamic terrorists who are legal immigrants to the US and have either a US green card or a US citizenship.

let us see what will happen if we leave before we achieve victory.

The terrorists whether they are Al Qaeda or the Iranian and Syrian terrorist regimes or a combination of all of them will not only control Iraq but the whole Middle East and with it come consequences to the US and the West that is worst than our most horrible nightmares. The terrorists will use the hundred of billions of oil revenues to conduct terrorists attacks that its hundred of folds more horrible, more deadly, and more damaging than the 9/11 terrorists attacks, including the use of nuclear weapons and they will also use the oil weapon to blackmail the Western and the world economy for many years to come.

If some terrorists dwelling in camps in Afghanistan with a limited budget and few volunteers were able to do 9/11 terrorist attacks, killed 3000 people and caused one trillion dollars in economic losses, imagine the incredible horrors that the terrorists can inflict on us if they control the whole Middle East and it vast revenues.

We are not fighting in Iraq for the Iraqis, we are fighting for our freedom and our way of life and those of our children, grandchildren, and for many generations to come.

Any person who has a shred of patriotism and a basic common sense will realize that we simply cannot afford to leave Iraq before we defeat terrorism there.

“Shut our borders and stop immigration. If they cannot get here, ends the problem.”

Exactly what should have been initiated on 9/12/2001.

Sooner or later, we are going to have to give the Muslims the jihad they so desperately want. And this time, we will finish the job.

...we are back to the question of whether Islam is compatible with a Constitutional Representative Government...

I thought that question was settled. Islam is not even compatible with Islam.

WORLD NUT DAILY

Written to outrage and get people to forward their links.

Is there any truth to it? Maybe? I trust even the NYT more than Farah, and only a little more credible than DEBKA.

The point is Bush was faced with a circumstance that required immediate action and he ACTED.

Exactly. Is it any much different than the Cho/VT case? He was a threat, but nobody acted preemptively. Saddam was a threat, and luckily Bush didn't give him the benefit of the doubt.

Fact is, there's always going to be second guesser armchair quarterbacking from people like edcoil no matter if it turns out good or bad.
