CAIRO The United States has been quietly holding a dialogue with the banned Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt.
On April 5, U.S. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer met a Brotherhood leader twice. One meeting was at Egypt's parliament, where the Brotherhood controls about 20 percent of the 454 seats, and the other was at the residence of the U.S. ambassador to Egypt, Francis Ricciardone.
Western diplomats and Brotherhood sources said American officials have been meeting members of the Islamic opposition in Alexandria and Cairo. They said the meetings, which focused on the positions of the Brotherhood and the future of Egypt, have usually taken place at the U.S. embassy, consulate or in the home of the American ambassador, Middle East Newsline reported.

The United States has been quietly holding a dialogue with the banned Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. Is this "official" policy or more "Democrat Alternative Foreign Policy"?..........

What are these Democrats offering? The Muslim Brotherhood isn't going to say; "Oh, all we have to do is declare peace with Israel? Why didn't someone tell us that before? That's easy."
Democrats are offering something so my thoughts wander to: What is it these terrorists want most?

Re-donning my tinfoil hat, it doesn’t seem to be too much of a leap to imagine him in Egypt, and Pelosi in Syria, both telling their terrorist friends to hit us hard in Iraq so the US can lose the war—and Pelosi and Hoyer and their terrorist supporting friends in government would see to it that there were no repercussions. As a bonus, when a ‘Rat is in the White House, there would be rewards.
(That aside, I keep having this problem with this guy’s name—I keep saying “Denny” and not “Steny”, which doesn’t seem logical.)

I believe that's a first.

So the Dems are sucking up to the gang who gave us al-Zawahiri and primetime beheadings? I worry that Steny never got the briefing that goes with his security clearance.

I will re-don with you as I firmly believe our Congress was taken over by a foreign power in 2006. These Liberals care nothing for the USA and will sell us down the river for complete control of this country.

Is this "official" policy or more "Democrat Alternative Foreign Policy"?.......... Exactly my question. Does anyone else get the impression that Her Majesty Pelosi is trying to build an empire of her own, even though she doesn't own the throne? I have never seen a Speaker try to maintain such a high profile before. I tried to watch her on Leno last night and I just could even stomach her long enough to sit through the interview.
