"Dont like Rudy much but this is stupid. We are electing someone as President, not shopper. I really doubt most elite politicians do their own shopping. Doubt Edwards does it. Doubt Kerry does it. Doubt McPain does it. And Doubt that Rudy does it." That's not the point. The man is totally out of touch with the economic realities that average over taxed Anericans have to deal with. He's just another rich Liberal/Rino elitist. He needs to get out and do his own shopping one in a while. BTW, how does the man pay his bills?

And so are almost all Presidential candidates. Do you think Bush, Kerry, Gore, or Edwards are the least bit in touch with normal economic reality? No.

“I have no idea how much milk or bread costs and I do all my own grocery shopping every week.”
Same here!! What difference does it make, if you want it you buy it! I also don’t sit and complain about gas prices to everyone who will listen, especially the poor guy behind the counter that is forced to listen to everyone’s whining!
There are real issues to consider when voting for a candidate! Not knowing the price of something does not disqualify anyone from being president. No story here!

Seriously, I'll bet if you bought a bunch of those little vessels containing a common natural occurring molecule H2O (from a huge well) known as 'bottled water' would cost a whole lot more per ounce than either milk or gasoline. Dasani water costs the equivalent of $4.19 per gallon.

No offense, but if you think that a candidate knowing the price of milk indicates anything other than that candidate getting briefings in case he's ambushed with these questions, you're seriously naive. That goes for the conservative candidates, too.
Heck, I bought milk and bread the other day and I don't remember what they cost me, because they're necessities.

When will we hear a chorus from the Congress for the heads of the bottled water magnates, or a demand for a windfall profits tax on Dasani, Evian and Propel?

OK, so he’s not supposed to earn our vote because he doesn’t know how much milk and bread cost? Perhaps it’s because he doesn’t do the grocery shopping?

Begs the question, how much would they have to cost in order to get your attention?

You’re right. This milk and bread parody is simply a required distraction from Julie’s actual issues. It’s all a part of his dog and pony show spiced with a few magical tricks.
If this trend continues, Julie may surpass Houdini place as the world’s greatest escape artist.

I think there should be a rule that every candidate should buy their groceries at least once a year. IMHO, the real distinction between "middle class" and "upper class" is that upper-class people can generally avoid dealing with any "ordinary people" they don't want to. Middle-class people have to deal with ordinary people all the time.

Wow. I’m going to miss my chance, because there’s no way I could get out there before Bob retires. Is it true that everyone is interviewed before being seated, so they can try to find someone good for TV? Is it also true that once you make it to contestant’s row, you can never be picked again?

Here's one thing that is true: a guy can't even lie anymore and get away with it. It's a damn shame. What's this world coming to?
Sorry. I've never been on The Price is Right.
