The FBI has joined the search for an illegal immigrant murder suspect mistakenly released from Maricopa County Jail.
Court records indicate 22-year-old Ruben Perez Rivera may have fled to Utah after allegedly stabbing his cousin, 22-year-old Theodore Perez.
A criminal complaint filed in federal court alleges Perez fled to avoid a charge of second-degree murder filed in Maricopa County Superior Court on March 30th.
That's the day a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The Tribune reports the slow movement of court paperwork allowed for the release of Rivera from a Maricopa County jail March 16th to immigration officials and his quick return to the United States.
Rivera was released to the custody of the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which removed him to Mexico.
Also sounds like he’s fleeing harsh Mexican justice and coming to a place where law enforcement is more lax — the USA.
I believe you are correct about too many of our new "immigrants". In my area, MS-13 and awol Mexican military are in our national forests and parks growing thousands of acres of dope. There is less risk to them than in Mexico or bothering to drag it all over the border.
Photos of these grows here:

I hate that any illegal, let alone a killer illegal, is released from prison into the US. -
Apparently, the Governoress has emplaced a half-time rule for illegals. Any illegal that is convicted of a crime in AZ, only has to serve half his sentence, then he is released to be deported.
I’ve heard this from both the AUSA’s office and folks at the Maricopa County Superior Court.
How special!
