PYONGYANG, North Korea --New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson on Monday toured a U.S. warship captured by North Korea in the 1960s that is now used to inspire anti-American sentiment in the reclusive communist regime.

Apparently the RATS are in some sort of competition to see which one can be more accommodating to our enemies. They should all be investigated.

Richardson was on a US-approved mission to recover US remains from the Korean War (or “Conflict”, as the Dims refer to it). He got sandbagged with the tour. Serves him right — dictatorships always can make a “diplomatic” visit unpleasant. Personal diplomacy has its risks and this one is going to sting, badly.

It's called fundraising.

The Democrats are sure to reap huge contributions from our enemies in this election cycle.

Some more from the article:

The North Korea colonel who served as Richardson's guide smiled as he told the governor the ship was an example of continued U.S. aggression toward his country. ...

Richardson, a Democratic presidential candidate who is in North Korea this week to collect the remains of U.S. servicemen killed in the Korean War, said the tour of the ship was "unpleasant."

This is utterly sick!

The Pueblo should have been recaptured or destroyed years ago.

As far as I am concerned she is still a US Navy ship and the idea of communist locusts crawling over her decks makes me want to vomit.

Hell, give the mission to the Air Force. One B-2 with a precision-guided bomb should be all that is needed to send her to an honorable grave.

If this Presidential Candidate(?) wanted to earn some REAL votes, he could have just called in some US/SoKo air support/cover,
laid the NoKo's out flat with his entourage's support,
slipped the lines on the Pueblo,
and get the ship underway & out North Korean waters...pronto.

[I know I would have gone down swinging at least, if I was there.]

Richardson and a host of others on BOTH sides of the isle need to be sat down in a classroom and have explained to them how Communists and Islamists use these kinds of trips by American “leaders” and public personalities to breed more contempt for us among the slaves populations in their own countries. These little tours to places like their USS Pueblo political shrine are also used in attempts to mislead the remainder of the world as to their motives and about the attitudes of the American people.

I read where President Bush endorsed this trip. Bush needs to be in the same class room, sitting as a student. The teachers should be former Chinese, Russian, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Burmese and Islamist (and other) system slaves.

It’s frustraing for the average American to have to have wussies for leaders. It should be settled before leaving that a US leader will not tour the Pueblo. As a matter of fact we should have bombed it along time ago after our prisoners were returned.

WHAT IS THIS????????

I cannot BELIEVE this guy would let himself be paraded around on the USS Pueblo. I just cannot believe it.

I have always said that if the KorComs would not repatriate the vessel, we should obliterate that poor ship with 5 or 6 laser guided Mk84’s.

Now I am thinking we should have done it while that traitorous SOB Richardson was parading around on it.

This is shameful and disgusting. I am appalled by this.

What’s the big deal.

Richardson is just spending time with people who share his political philosophy.

Happens all the time.

Pelosi embraces the mohammedans, Richardson embraces north korean communists. Hillary, well hell Hillary embraces any political philosophy that places power exclusively in the hands of the elites.

I would be terribly surprised and not a little bit frightened if they weren’t openly showing their admiration and respect for these murderers and thugs.

It would mean they were acting out of character and that is never a good sign.

I AM angry about this. Could this stupid clod, who apparently has enough brain cells to get elected governor of a state, not understand the significance of the vessel.

My dad was a friend of CDR Bucher...and he was also the Communications and Security Officer at Yokosuka when the capture occured. I don’t remember it, but my mother told me that my dad didn’t sleep at home for two weeks, he was in the communications hut on the base at the time.

He never spoke of it to me.

It would be great if he could initiate the process of getting the Pueblo back. At one time, the NKs actually thought about returning her. The inevitable something happened and it still sits over in NK.

Well...she was a ship of the U.S. Navy, and did have two .50 cal machine guns, so that does technically make her a warship.

COMNAVFORJAPAN (ADM Johnson) was against arming the vessel, and suggested the weapons be stored below, but made it clear that it was up to the Captain. In the end, they did have the guns on deck covered with tarpaulins, and never uncovered them.

The feeling of helplessness sets in when you realize what a bunch of total pansies our leaders are. The elites in this country are not as tough as the leadership of enemy countries...and they aren’t as tough as most Americans either.

They are disgraces.
