If I was Imus, I would be contacting Obama and Harold Ford to meet with rather than Sharpton. Is this a NYC thing that Sharpton has standing in this matter?

Oh, he reminds me a thief who is sorry he is going to jail, but not the least bit sorry he stole.

What’s with the apology?

OUR characterization?

Just who is the OUR that pulled the puppet strings to make it seem as tho Imus was speaking?

That said, a nice donation to one of charlatan’s ‘charities’ will end the faux outrage.

I also wondered if Bernie, was in the studio. They must have issued muzzles, to him and Lou.

It’s a controlled train wreck, and who doesn’t like to watch a train wreck?

I know I do. And those who say they don't - well, I wonder about.

[...racists comments only come from the right wing!!!]

I guess, he could be referring to Rush, who he never passes up a chance to call him ‘a fat loser addict’, even if he isn’t fat, a loser OR an addict.

Take another Vicodin, Imus.

I guess that could be who he was referring to. But of course he didn’t specify so he is painting them all with the same brush.

saying that only racist remarks come from the Right wing!!

I found that remark to be offensive too. I stopped listening to Imus several years ago, but tuned in this morning to see what the buzz was about, but, then, switched it off when the groveling became too severe. Jeez; what a whiner. He can dish it out but drops to his knees when on the receiving end.

Don’t be surprised if McCain appears on his show to show his support for Imus. He is looking at anything, ANYTHING that will save his political life.

I think what will happen - at least I hope - is that Imus will be completely submissive with Sharpton today. Tomorrow, if Shrapton takes Imus’ up on his invitation to come on his program, Imus may do a little of the ‘dope’ part of a rope-a-dope’ on him. Sharpton has some ‘splain’ to do too.

Maybe he & Elizabeth Edwards can host their own show.

I haven’t watched in years also, except channel surfing, and did want to see what he would say this morning, and now I do hope he gets fired....not for his remarks but for his shyster ranch.

On his second round of apology Imus keeps repeating that he’s a good man who said a stupid thing.

1. Good people have no need to tell the world that they are good. The world decides that.

2. In my experience when people brag of their goodness it’s usually determined that they are not in fact good.

He’s simply in “cover your ass” mode.

Don does look a bit subdued this morning. Says he needs to grow up a little bit. Don’t know what will happen to him but he’s sticking his neck out on the block for all to see. He’s doing the right thing as far as I can tell.

You’re jealous of the good things he does for sick children?
