"After taking in more than $1 million in two months"
Pretty good. At least lets the other politicians know that the open border is an issue!

( Hunter/Thompson in 08! Or Rudy/Hillary, if you want America finished off!)
To: dynachrome
Since he doesn't believe he can get the nomination he needs to stay in long enough to get his message into the debates then drop out quickly. Then he can endorse someone like Hunter.

ZZZZzzzzz...WHAT? Oh....ZZZZzzzzzz
Tancredo's job is to drag the republican field to the right on immigration reform, making it difficult for whoever gets the nomination to win the general election.

My mother was a Tancredo supporter until recently. Hunter seems to have picked up the support of truck drivers nationwide.
She still likes Tancredo but sees Hunter as the better all purpose candidate.

I think he is nuts to run. He should run for the senate seat.

And yes it IS an invasion.

Tancredo also supports cutting or eliminating the H1-B visas ... which, in my opinion, is good for citizen IT/Tech workers (where wages have been flat or declining due to the flood of visa workers)

My worry is that Mister Tancredo will let his ego (or a clandestine agreement with Hillary) nudge him into a third-party candidacy. This would siphon enough votes from the Republican candidate to ensure a victory for Hillary.
Remember how close the past two national elections were?
And, add some vote fraud hi jinx from Hillary's "agents", and you can see why a third party candidate would sink every non-Democrat.

It's Offical - Tom Announces for President - 10AM EST, Monday 2 April, 2007Excerpts From Congressman Tancredo's President Campaign Announcement Statement
While we fight around the world to defend our nation, we are entrenched now in a struggle here at home to define it. The crisis of illegal immigration threatens not only our economy and our security, but our very identity...The great tradition of American assimilation has broken down. The melting pot has cracked, and our Founding ideals are leaking through....For too long Americans have been force-fed candidates who ignore or mock their valid concerns about the security of our borders, the enforcement of our immigration laws, and the survival of our national heritage. That ends today.

"After taking in more than $1 million in two months" At this rate he will have over $9 million dollars to run in the general election in Nov 08...that is twice what Hunter will have. Unfortunately both men they will be splitting their natural constituency of trailer park supremacists. I doubt Rudy, Mitt, or John chomping at the bit to take the anti-immigration platform from Dunc/Tanc.
