"U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will visit Damascus next week for talks with Syrian officials, a U.S. Embassy official said Friday, making her the highest-ranking American politician to come to Syria since relations began souring in 2003.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the media, said Pelosi would be leading a delegation of members of Congress and would arrive on Tuesday and leave Wednesday."

One of our many pseudo-presidents taking foreign policy in their own hands, in rebellion and disagreement with the actual elected President's leadership.

Isn't her official title Representative Pelosi and not Ambassador Pelosi? Or is she one of those fake Ambassadors like Joe Wilson?

Didn't you get the memo? The American Voters, "by a wide majority", approved her appointment. She's merely going over there to finalize our surrender. After all, we don't want to get them mad at us...

No doubt she's going to assure the Syrian terrorists the next American President will be a Democrat.
Wait until the Syrians get a taste of Fred.

Very scary that this woman is 3rd in line for the Presidency...very scary.
Having said that, unless specifically requested to do so by the President or his Secretary of State, she has no business making any such visit to a head of state, particularly a semi-belligerent in a time of war.
Legislation Nancy, is the role of the congress, foreign affairs are that of the Executive.

How the hell is the President supposed to set a foreign policy when every Tom, Dick and Nancy goes over and promises our enemies the exact opposite of what the President states?
It is treasonous and they should be arrested. What is it going to take to stop this? Mr. Bush needs stop pussyfooting around with these people.

That job belongs to the State Department under George W. Bush, The President of the United States.
Pelosi has no authority and business to be visiting foreign countries and their leaders. She has her job and should stay with it making a mess per usual!

I agree with your civil war comment - just what I was thinking. Soros is helping fund this civil war - funding extra lawyers to help the dims in the faux attorney firing "scandel", funding articles that get put into the Wa Post, (per American Spectator) I've never seen anything so awful in Washington.
What does Soros have to gain by all this? I truly don't know.
