"This could mean there are plans to execute KSM...."

If they watched on tv it could have been done from DC and not create such a carbon footprint disaster for all of us flying all over the place. "Closed circuit" TV.

Were they "covert" or were they "classified"? Henry Waxman needs to know.

John Sifton can go have a continous series of one on one chats with the families who lost members on 9/11.
Shame on him.

'Two Senators Secretly Flew to Cuba for Alleged 9/11 Mastermind's Hearing'
......
'Sen. Carl Levin (D-Mich.), chairman of the Armed Services Committee, and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)'
enough said. LMAO
and that carbon foot print will take decades and a couple of tree acres to clean up
To: meg88
"We'll issue a joint statement tomorrow, but we were there together," Graham said.Together.
Was this trip necessary?

The transcript is also revealing of the Bush administration's efforts to buttress the case for the secret detentions and the opaque legal process under which detainees such as Mohammed are being held. Well cry me a river. Typical ComPost apologist, terrorist-loving spin.
Thanks for the ping.

That I did not know. Regardless, I'd imagine the reason we don't want to be beaming this stuff to a satellite is that someone would intercept it and use it against us.

I have 4 offices hooked up on a computer network video for conference calls across the country that are as secure as maxwell smarts secret discussions with the chief in the cone of silence.
The president can do it wireless from AF1, Congress has tons of money to do the same.
There was no need to travel except, to get more cigars.
I don't mind them going as mcuh as the farc of telling us why.

Did Sen. Levin invite Rosie?I'd support letting them both share a cell with Khalid so they could get intimately acquainted.

Mohammed's description of his treatment while in CIA custody was redacted from the transcript. I remember he couldn't get enough of the waterboarding. He must love water sports.

My thinking exactly. These people are just plain despicable. We are supposed to hold our government leaders in respect. Pretty hard to do so when they act like scoundrels.
