BTW, I will vote for whoever runs against the liberal candidate, that doesn't mean I will support them.

That is good to know.

Same here. They seem to perceive it as sort of the last bastion of virtue in politics, which is a viewpoint divorced from reality.

I will vote for any conservative who has proof he is for our National Security. A wolf in sheeps clothing that has yet to prove a diddly darn thing other than he can dance a mean chorus line just is not what I have in mind.

It is easy to act tough when you are not the President. There aren't as many limits on you actions and behavior.

It is totally different when YOU are resposible for dealing with world leaders and are answerable for your behavior.

Most leaders would have liked to throw Arafat out, or tell Nutjob over in Iran to Buzz off. We all know that this is not possible as POTUS.

NY politics is not world politics.

I'll hold out since it is pre primary and hope people will come to their senses.

I have a lot at stake. A kid in the military.

I feel your pain. I too am in Washington state.

I live in a rural county near the ocean. I like the trees, mountains, salt water, rivers, lakes and the Strait of Juan de Fuca where I live, or I would move out of this POS state in a heartbeat.

Do you ever have a positive thought? To this 67 y.o. greatgrandmother you sound like a whiner and I definitely wouldn't want to be in a foxhole with you.

Excellent points

running NYC does not translate into running the executive branch

Bear in mind I didn’t say I’m embarrassed to be a conservative, but in today’s political lexicon the two are linked like democrat equals liberal, thanks to the great conservative leaders that used to lead and run the party political machine that made these terms almost interchangeable in the American mind for the last twenty years.

Popman, (we need you / you need) to move to Washington State where we fully recognize that being Republican is nowhere near being synonymous with being conservative -- and where we're finally making strides in recapturing the party, and then through it, the state!

Call it as you see it, but there are multitudes of conservatives who share the sentiment. I don't like either, but it's a reality.

The Republicans will have the right nominee at the end, that is one reason Republicans won 7 of the last 10 Presidential elections or 5 of the last 7, they pick up better people to be President than democrats do :)

I’m embarrassed to have an “R” stamped on my voter ID card

I felt the same way.....................

So I changed my letter from an "r" to an "I"

It felt great.

From The Odd Couple:

Oscar Madison: Who wants food?
Murray: What do you got?
Oscar Madison: I got, uh, brown sandwiches and, uh, green sandwiches. Which one do you want?
Murray: What's the green?
Oscar Madison: It's either very new cheese or very old meat.
Murray: I'll take the brown.
[Oscar hands Murray a sandwich which Murray starts wolfing down]
Roy: Are you crazy? You're not going to eat that, are you?
Murray: I'm hungry!
Roy: His refrigerator has been out of order for two weeks now. I saw milk standing in there that wasn't even in the bottle!
Oscar Madison: What are you, some kind of health nut? Eat, Murray, eat!
