You have got to be kidding. I like Ron Paul but he doesn't have a snowball's chance.

Big boys don't sit home and pout on election day.

Reading comprehension is a simple thing

From my post: I am seriously considering not being involved with any republican candidate to support.

I never said I would not vote, just not support the RINO

I will vote against the liberal candidate, whoever they are.

BTW, I will vote for whoever runs against the liberal candidate, that doesn't mean I will support them.

What if it's down to a liberal(R) and a liberal(D)? Which liberal will you support? Either way, you'll get a liberal in the White House. You lose no matter what.

Heck, I don't even know what the platform is anymore. It's probably not conservative, though.

It's left wing. The Washington Republicans surrendered years ago.

In the larger sense, there is a need to keep Hillary, Obama, Edwards out of the WH.

Though, I am betting Richardson will be Hillary VP, if that is true, we are totally screwed.

the RNC will not fund money to any of the candidates until one wins the nomination

The RNC had no problem at all funneling money to Randy Graf's primary opponent in his race for Congress from the 8th District of Arizona (Tucson).

Words like "unprecedented", "unusual", "simply not done" were slung around, but there it is. They did that.

I contributed what I thought was a rather significant amount of money to Randy's campaign (reminder to self: send him some more to help him pay off debt). I did not feel so good knowing that some jerk named Mehlman and his boss in D.C. were competing against my contributions with my own party's money.

And in the end, Randy won the primary, but was a) so drained from that fight, and b) cut off from further RNCC money by the same vicious freaks who desperately wanted him to lose and were willing to see the freak Leftist Democrat Gabrielle Giffords get elected instead, just to spite him.

And Randy's crime? Being ardently anti-illegal immigration. And being a hard line Conservative on most everything else.

So save the lectures about the virtuous RNC and how they don't take sides and engage in fratricide.

They do. And probably are now, to make sure the Establishment RINO gets in, and the right palms keep getting greased.

Ain't no damn different from 'rats, just different office address and phone number.

You're embarrassed to have an R stamped on your voter ID card. Yep, I can understand that.

The primaries are 11 months away. We've still got time. Take a deep breath, now relax.

I don't have any say over whether anyone here votes GOP, votes dem, votes 3rd party, writes another candidate's name on the ballot or does not vote, but if one doesn't vote at all, IMHO, they don't get to complain.

I find it amazing that people think the RNC operates in a vacuum until the nominee is finalized.

The first primary hasn't started yet.

Suppose conservatives give up now and don't vote.

Who will that help?

What happened to the adults in our political process? You know the congressmen who do the right thing regardless of the cost to them politically? The congressman who lead by example no matter the cost? The congressmen who speak in plain words and give honest straight answers? I am seriously considering not being involved with any republican candidate to support.

You must remember that Congressmen, be they Republicans or Democrats, are, above all else, politicians and politicians will always be lying, gutless cowards.

Never confuse a politician with a leader or with what your Party stands for. If you do, you will invariably be disappointed.

For me in Washington state it was when the governors election was stolen in broad daylight. It is also our federal attorney who is one of those fired by Gonzales that he is now taking so much heat for. He should have been fired. He was totally worthless.

It's not time to give up yet, of course. If the Republicans go liberal, though, FR may want to consider acting on behalf of a party other then the Republican party. There has to be a more Conservative party out there that we've been ignoring that would love to take the lead position.
The American people have asked for change, and maybe it's time to pull out a new star. The primaries will let us know.

I certainly understand that, even Reagan disappointed me at some point.

Just what does the Republican party stand for now days?

I don't think the leadership even knows anymore.

Don't apologize, that was a great rant.

"The general population just watch American Idol and don’t even realize their political process is broke down like to a whore on crack pretending to be Miss American What happened to the adults in our political process?"

The way I see it, the crack whores have taken over our government.
