No way 11 DCers found him not guilty so I would say anything other than a hung jury is bad news.

In their questions, which were released Tuesday morning, jurors seemed confused about what Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald was alleging. This case is so bogus, not even the jury understands what the charges are.

You know it's going to be "Guilty" -- that's just how things have been going lately. It's a jury of DC residents, one of whom is or was a Washington Post reporter. So if the verdict is not guilty, I will be thoroughly shocked.

This is almost certainly bad news, because if they were deadlocked they have to tell the judge and he has options to tell them to go back and deliberate more or he can question them individually to see if he thinks they are all deliberating in good faith, etc. So I think (but I'm not a lawyer) that a DC jury arriving at a verdict in this case almost certainly means "guilty" on at least some charge(s)..... but we'll all find out in 15-20 minutes!

I was just re-reading firedoglake's account of Fitz's closing remarks, how they were amazed Wells didn't object to all the conspiracy stuff Fitz was throwing at the jury. Jeffress finally objected, but only after the damage was done. I think this was deliberate by the defense. I think they thought was hanging hemself by his own petard. It is prohibited for a prosecutor to present closing remarks based on evidence that wasn't introduced in the trial, and that is EXACTLY what Fitz did.
Fitz was lying when he said he was simply arguing Libby's state of mind. No, he was prejudicing the jury by arguing that a covert agent was outed, that her life was jeopardized, and that this was done because the admin was attacking a critic for exposing its lies about pre-war Iraq intelligence. Fitz had provided no evidence, other than hearsay, for any of this. I think Wells was thinking, "Thank you very much, Fitz."

I believe Scooter is a lawyer by trade. I am still surprised that he answered a question directly about something that was years old. I can't tell you what I said to my wife on October 15, 2005 at 14:30 - even though there is a record that we talked on the phone. Make them come up with notes that "refresh" your memory.
