Fat Albert junior has monthly mineral rights payments by Occidental for his Tennessee mansion lands. Fat Albert also spearheaded the sale of the US strategic oil reserve at Elk Hills California to Occidental, realizing millions in profit on his holdings of Occidental stocks.
It just doesn't end with this fat fake of a slimeball.
If it weren't for the fact that Steyn absolutely nails Algore to the wall with the rest of the column, I'd be nauseous just from this one quote...
Al: You buy carbon offsets? Where's the proof Al? If a Republican was in his position, the press would demand a tour of the house to see for themselves the compact florescent lamps and other eco-friendly devices, they would demand to see the paperwork on the purchases the "carbon traders" make, then make sure they were made. But, because this is Al Gore, they give him a pass.

Has anybody done a study to see if all the "Green Power" being purchased by a surcharge on their electric bills is even being generated?
I don't think hydropower should be counted because after the initial construction is paid off, the power is effectively free. The power company load dispatchers call it "Pennies from Heaven".
I'm still waiting for my share of the dough from the carbon offsets purchase. If he's buying someone elses unused carbon footprint, shouldn't they be the one getting paid for it? Glenn Beck was right, it's all about global socialism, and the only thing green is the money that is being transferred from the wealthy nations to poorer nations.
