Lawmaker: Ban 'illegal aliens' just the words
Florida legislator thinks A-word is 'somebody who is from another planet'

Florida Sen. Frederica Wilson, D-Miami
Here's a novel way to solve the controversy over illegal aliens in America. Just ban the use of the words "illegal alien."
That's what a Florida state legislator proposes when it comes to official documents in the Sunshine State.
"To me an alien is somebody who is from another planet," Democrat Sen. Frederica Wilson told the Miami Herald. "There are so many other synonyms that would be more dignified for human beings."
The phrase "illegal aliens" is commonly used by the federal government to define people who entered the U.S. without papers or permission, but many media organizations such as the Associated Press routinely use terminology such as "undocumented immigrants."
Though there would be no penalty for using the words, Wilson's bill indicates: "A state agency or official may not use the term 'illegal alien' in an official document of the state."
Ironically, the phrase "illegal aliens" was coined by the government itself in the late 1700s.
"We're in the 21st century," Wilson said. "It probably was acceptable then, but it shouldn't be acceptable now."
Wilson has already received calls from dozens of people critical of her proposal. She dismisses them as ignorant and hypocritical.
"All of us are immigrants except the American Indian," Wilson said. "Now how would we like it if they called us aliens. The only people who should not be called that should be American Indians."

"Illegal Aliens" make me think of people from out of space."
She meant "outer space" of course, but she is a Democrat after all.
I think she is on to something. The term "rapist" has such a negative connotation too. How about instead of "rapist" we say:
"Unsolicited Reproductive Copulator."
Moreover, the term "murderer" is also very negative. How about instead of the label "murderer" we now say:
"Unscheduled Lifecycle Terminator."
How about "Imported Criminals"?
When it comes to people from outer space...well, she's living in a glass house I think.
Takes one to know one, apparently.
Looking at her in that hat she may even have come from Outer Space.
But I looked it up for her .:Alien: a person who comes from a foreign country; someone who does not owe allegiance to your country
I'm sure that's what they were thinking when they wrote about "inalienable rights" a few years ago.
Yes, she does look like she came from Outer Space. Her mind is clearly still in the stratosphere.

How about ILLEGAL INVADERS? After all, that's what they are!
Orwell was right about Democrats, ya know...
Government Mandated NewSpeak, the Memory Hole, ALL of it....
Nice hat, toots!
But, seriously folks, as a European-American, I take great umbrage at this woman's cracks about aliens. Why, some of my best friends are aliens. And isn't that what America is all about anyway?
My word, I think I need some more coffee.
"All of us are immigrants except the American Indian," Wilson said. "Now how would we like it if they called us aliens. The only people who should not be called that should be American Indians."
Somebody tell this idiot that the Indians immigrated here also.
Our PC society is so far gone I can't even say what I think of that woman without being banned from this forum. Grrrr.... Okay baby, how about we call them ILLEGAL INVADERS?
How about "Border Neutral Pre-inmate"?
To me, Wilson is a manufacturer of sporting goods. So change your name.
The Bell Curve is a controversial, best-selling 1994 book by Richard J. Herrnstein and Charles Murray exploring the role of intelligence in American life. The book became widely read and debated due to its discussion of race and intelligence in Chapters 13 and 14. Since the book promulgated black inferiority, people fear that it can promote genocide.
Yup. To the DemonRats, abortion = "choice"; tax cuts "cost"; illegal aliens = "undocumented workers." The MSM goes right along with them, consistently using DemonRat language to further leftist goals.
How about "stupid corrupt politician" instead of "stupid corrupt politician"?
To me a Democrat/liberal is someone from another planet.
""All of us are immigrants except the American Indian," Wilson said. "Now how would we like it if they called us aliens. The only people who should not be called that should be American Indians."
Someone tell this buffoon the American Indians migrated here from Asia.
"We're in the 21st century," Wilson said. "It probably was acceptable then, but it shouldn't be acceptable now."
The phrase "illegal alien" is found in our federal immigration laws. I'd like to see this dingbat Florida legislator try to get the federal government to change "illegal alien" to "undocumented worker" in our federal immigration laws.
"All of us are immigrants except the American Indian," Wilson said.
What a moronic statement. I'm not an American Indian and I'm not an immigrant. I'm an American who was born in the United States of America.
