MARINE VISITS THE OLNEY FREEPERS: Week 61 - Olney,MD, 2-24-07: Operation Infinite FReep
Feb. 27,2007 | Trooprally

Posted on 02/27/2007 3:44:37 PM PST by trooprally

Almost as exciting as the buses stopping at the Friday night Walter Reed FReep several weeks ago, a Marine stopped by our little FReep in Olney to THANK US. The young Marine hails from Gaithersburg, Maryland, just 20 minutes west of Olney. He was on his way to a function with his sister and brother-in-law and saw our flags, banners and our large group of supporters. He had to make a quick detour and stop.

BELOW TOP LEFT:Marine with family behind him, talking to GunsAreOK, BufordP and Kristinn. BMWcyle is in blue. BELOW TOP RIGHT: Marine talking to [Mrs] T and Legionnaire Halsey, USMC, Korea. BELOW BOTTOM: Marine talking to GunsAreOK and BufordP.

When the buses stopped at Walter Reed I was blessed to be at that corner. This time I was occupying the opposite southeast corner (BELOW) with Cindy_True_Supporter. We missed the Marine's visit. All we could do was yell "Semper Fi" across the street and get a wave back from him. But I did get a cell call from [Mrs] T who jokingly razzed me because I missed out from talking to the Marine. But Cindy and I did receive our share of honks, waves, thumbs up and several salutes. We also were glad to be able to have sufficient FReepers and lurkers to once again cover two corners.

FReepers and Lurkers there this cold, but warming morning were: Apple Blossom and daughter, BMWcyle, (BMW), BufordP, Cindy-True_Supporter (CTS), GunsAreOK, (Guns), iMacMan, (iMM), Jimmy Valentines Brother, (JVB), Kristinn , Lurker Bill (aka Lurker Bill from MD on Walter Reed AARs), [Mrs] Trooprally, ([Mrs] T), myself, Legionaire Halsey and a passerby. There were 9 moonbats. So even with CTS and myself on the other corner, we still had the moonbats out numbered on our corner.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL OLNEY FREEP!!

Pics are by iMacMan and [Mrs] T.

BELOW: Eleven of us on our corner before we occupied the second corner and before two others showed up. We were only able to get the blue banner up this week. The support rebar holes were partially covered with snow and the ground was still frozen solid.

BELOW: iMM taking group pic.

BELOW: JVB brought a brand new sign and it's message is absolute.

BELOW: And let's not forget BufordP's great signs held by Guns, BufordP and Kristinn.

BELOW LEFT:Legionnaire Halsey and Lurker Bill. BELOW RIGHT: Apple Blossom's daughter, Guns and Kristinn putting together one of BufordP's signs, Apple Blossom and BMW.

BELOW LEFT:Me, Guns, BufordP, Kristinn behind sign and CTS. BELOW RIGHT: Kristinn, BufordP behind sign, JVB talking to a reservist who spent about half hour with us, and Apple Blossom.

BELOW:Some other great miscellaneous pics.

Some of iMM's passing supporters. Thanks iMM for your time. iMM takes about 300 pics, reviews them, then picks the best. The length of this thread would be greatly increased if they were all posted.

AND THE BUZZARDS ONCE AGAIN FLEW OVER THE MOONBATS!!

BELOW LEFT:Chief Grumpy. BELOW RIGHT:All the Grumpies.

REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney

RE: Olney FReep -

If you live in northern VA and want a short cut to Olney See Post 39 Here. It's an easy 20 minute drive from the American Legion Bridge.

A special Thanks to a FReeper FRiend for enhancing the original plain type directions.

The Archive of Olney FReeps is here or in the LINKS section of Trooprally's ABOUT Page.

Olney Needs Your Help On March 17. As of now only one FReeper plans to be at Olney on Saturday the 17. The others will be down in D.C. with the big Protect the Vietnam Wall Rally there. If you are not attending the D.C. Rally and can help in Olney, please FReepmail me. We are also checking on some locals to be there.

For the Jan. 27 Rally in D.C., all the moonbats deserted their corner and we were unopposed. We're hoping for the same, but we don't want to leave our corner vacant.

Also, if you plan to be in D.C. on March 17, please let Just A Nobody know. She is assuming a lot of you will be there, but unless you contact her, we cannot count you. We need a near definite number for planning purposes, you know, for the MOAB, props and signs. The more the merrier.

Justa's latest UPDATE.

Our permitted FReep position will be in close proximity of the Vietnam Wall, so you can be in two places at one time. It is also along the moonbats march route.

March 17 pdf fliers are available. Please print them and hand them out. If you want something to hang on a bulletin board, just print out Page 2.

Protecting the WWII and Korean War Memorials is also in the mix. If the moonbats can't vandalize the Wall, they may go else where. The Wall though is primary since the idiot moonbats started hating America during the Vietnam era. They also want to use the Wall as their back drop.

If you have never freep, it is time to get out. Sitting at home has given you Congress.

Ya missed a good one last week.

That's one of Buford's signs. When he stops by he'll bring his signs out. He has velco tabs where he can affix removable signs to fit the FReep. A great bit of ingenuity.

Well, when one does 4 FReeps in 2 days, one must be prepared.

I have to say I've never seen so many FReepers in Olney...it was great. Cars kept pulling up with more people getting out to join us. Love the part where we covered two corners and got the visit from the Marine! That will never happen on the moonbat corner.

".... Fine Company..."

Thank you.

Legionnaire Halsey is a Marine Gunny Sgt., Korean War. The two got along just fine. Too bad the Marine couldn't stay longer.

In the anti war picture, I noticed two leftover signs from the ANSWER rally last month. No creativity on their part.

They are recycling them for the March 17 protest!

Maybe George Soros is running out of money after his failed Air America fiasco.
