This is politics......anybody seeing "paranoia" in FR posts needs help.....really off the wall.
Try to stay level-headed.
And keep in mind......"all's fair in love, war.......and politics."
Those who can't stand the heat, should get out of the kitchen.
No freedom of speech in your play book?
Ther is a REASON democrats don't talk about it anymore, the same reason Giuliani does not like talking about it. It's a loser position. The dems did not run on gun control in 2006, but lo and behold, they are drafting up new ligislation grabbing guns as we speak. Bush will Veto, but would Rudy?
I don't mind debating about the issues between two different candidates of course. But this is good news about Duncan Hunter (although the piece on him wasn't written well at all) but why post a Rudy picture in drag? Why not post a good Duncan Hunter picture to be proud of your guy? Maybe one that you could find when he was in the military or him standing next to Reagan or Bush. It just doesn't make sense to me.
Gen. Chuck Yeager, American hero, has endorsed Hunter:
November 20, 2006
To my Fellow Americans,
Congressman Duncan Hunter is the best candidate for President of the United States of America that I know - he has integrity, tenacity, courage, and diplomacy. He is intelligent and thoughtful, does his research, and acts on it.
I have known Congressman Duncan Hunter for over 35 years. Duncan served his country in the Army and is a Vietnam vet. In Vietnam, he served in one of the most dangerous outfits - the 173rd Airborne Brigade and the 75th Army Rangers.
Duncan Hunter is the former and very effective Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and I am proud to be the Honorary Chair of the Congressman Duncan Hunter for President Committee.
Chuck Yeager
You mean like this guy? NO THANKS!
So you promise he won't go along with Emperor Schumer and DiFi
when they use their chainsaw on the 2nd amendment?
The list of reasons is quite long. Not the least of which is his opponents range from liberal, to moderate, to unstable.
Oops! Oh well I thought this was not posted. Was this the big announcement Duncan Hunter had yesterday?
Good question.
My belief - New York City in the late 80's was a cross fire hell zone.
Gun control in NYC, in the late 80's is a bit of an extrapolation from there to the entire country in 2008.
I just don't see gun control (given the WOT) coming up as any kind of real issue - I just don't see it.
2008 is going to be about Foreign Policy - unless the world tilts on its axis between now and them.
She looks tough.
"Bush will VETO" What makes you say that? Bush has stated he would sign [the now expired] AWB. The commies are pushing for more, banning about every gun out there.
No - that's not what had in mind.
Just kidding about Duncan's occasionally challenged bangs.
Very nice! :-)
believe me you, it will be a huge issue. There is a reason that Romney (last week) bought a "lifetime" membership to the NRA. LOL. Romney and McCain have tacked right, even going so far as to renounce former liberal positions. Rudy has chosen to tapdance instead. Where that may work against Romney and McCain, since he can paint them as flip-floppers, it won't work against a guy who has been a rock ribbed conservative since he came into politics with Reagan in 1980.
I know, :) Your comment about the comb reminded me of that. I think seeing Duncan rumpled and not giving a damn about his appearance just endears me more to him. It's kind of loveable.
You bet it is - between Iran, North Korea, Iraq, Israel and the Palestinians, now the U.S. getting involved just this morning in Africa - there is so much out there.
It has everything to do with Rudy. The reason you posted this Duplicate thread(You know very well that it was posted yesterday), was to try and smear a good conservative.
Just because you support a Liberal(Rudy Giuliani), who is trying to break-up the Republican party, doesn't mean we have to.
Bush worked WITH the congress to kill the bill. Just ask the democrats.
I am 14 year member of the NRA - in good standing I might add.
I don't give a rats butt about Gun Control as a Presidential issue.
The second amendment is doing just fine - for law abiding citizens.
