Prayer request for a VieNam Vet...

My brother-in-law, a VietNam vet who lost both legs in that conflict, is in need of triple by-pass surgery...soon. At present, they are trying to get the VA to allow him to have the surgery in the land they are serving as missionaries. It would be very expensive for him to travel all the way home to Virginia for the surgery at this time because they have just put out a lot of money for their visas, language school, and paperwork...trying to establish an orphanage, and they have 12 of their adopted children with them, as well. Please pray that the VA grants them the go-ahead to have the surgery done at a hosptial near them. It is a very reputable hospital, so there is no concern about having the procedure there as opposed to in the USA.

BTW, if he gets turned down for no other reason than bureaucracy, I think you should go to the media with this. Either media heat on the bureaucracy may turn it, or people may respond with the required cash contributions.
