The survey taken Friday through Sunday - nearly a year before the first presidential primaries are held - shows Clinton with a 19-percentage-point edge over Illinois Sen. Barack Obama among Democrats and Giuliani with a 16-point margin over Arizona Sen. John McCain among Republicans.

Rudy PING
Good to see Duncan Hunter running strong. < /what?>
This is February 2007! Can the MSM keep this up for 19 more months?
Yeah, I guess we can just get rid of the primaries and anoint the 2 and move the election up a year.. hell, make it a popular vote too, while we're at it.. change is good, yaknow.
No one outside of CA or FR has ever heard of Duncan Hunter. There's lots of time I guess, but without a little more name recognition, he's not going to make it very far at all.
They should run as Clinton/Gooeyani. That would really be "bipartisan." They would probably even be a close match, if they were married to each other. But the likely imagery involved is rather nauseating to us healthier people.
Hillary hasa 58% favorable and Rudy has 66% favorable!
Hillary has 40% unfavorable, Rudy only has 22% unfavorable opinion!
(Link to poll in the article)
Looks like Rudy has a good chance against Hillary.
It is awesome!
Ed Goeas of The Tarrance Group posted the information on another thread to me with the following that puts it in perspective:
"I case you missed it USAToday has a new poll out tonight with Giuliani up by sixteen-points over McCain. Comparing apples to apples, Rudy was up four-points a month ago. Unlike some of the speculation it looks like the more they see and hear about Rudy -- the better he does."
Evidentally the Duncan Express is just getting rollin.
Very good news!
Also could establish a line of succession.
"Evidentally the Duncan Express is just getting rollin."
He goes back and forth between not even registering ( less than 1%) and actually making it to ONE full percent!
Real momentum.
PS. I know you were being sarcastic, so was I.
Thanks for the ping.
A little birdie told me about a very good poll coming out tomorrow in USA Today. Rudy is looking good.
Mitt, as a Mormon would just pull the ticket down.
I haven't been paying much attention the past few weeks, but has there been any mention of Mark Sanford as a possible VP candidate. From his bio, he sounds perfect.
I was thinking back to 1999 and it got down fairly quickly to Bush and McCain and the other guy who wouldn't drop out. Last three debates only had the three of them if I remember right.
And he does share our deepest convictions.
I went to 2-3 of the debates, but it was when they were all in, Keyes and the little bug eyed guy whose name escapes me. (Bauer?) It's late :-)
Here comes the "CONSERVATIVES FOR HILLARY BRIGADE".
I remembered the last ones where it was McCain, Bush, and the man who I shall not name!
I vote none of the above. Restoration of the Constitution is the top issue. If it isn't done now, it won't ever be done.
I sat at a table in Columbia, SC with our mayor, state Represenatative, and a city councilman and their wives. There were 8 of us.
When the camera was off McCain, something was wrong with him. I asked if others saw it and they did and were disturbed. And going into the debate, I'm pretty sure our mayor was a McCain supporter but he sure didn't leave as one.
8 polls a day, and almost TWO YEARS before the 08 elections...
Am I the only one who thinks this is OVERKILL?
If you're going to SPAM, please bring it up to date or maybe you're not aware he spoke about PBA a week ago. It is my hope he will change his mind on this issue.
"Restoration of the Constitution is the top issue. "
I am sure Hillary will work very hard at it and will thank you for your help.
That's interesting. I know lots of people seem to have "I met McCain and he seemed unhinged" stories. I think it might be useful to gather other accounts. If anyone has one of these, now's the time to tell it! :)
That would be Gary Bauer --- the little guy who kept telling us he was the RWR candidate.
There is no more reprehensible position that a political candidate could hold - especially a Republican candidate - than to express support for Partial Birth Abortion. But your response is to say that those who oppose him because of his support for that barbaric method of murder are "for Hillary".
More children are outright murdered by this method every year than the number of Americans killed on 9/11. Supporting Partial Birth Abortion is absolutely indefensible. Giuliani joins Hillary and Obama in supporting this monstrous procedure.
This is February 2007! Can the MSM keep this up for 19 more months?
---
Can the factions at FR keep it up for 19 months?
Better yet, why should posters at a conservative forum be subject to partisan attacks for 19 months?
Certain folks should take their time and have their candidate and his backers with the big money start their own forum that is more befitting to their own goals and agenda for America. jmo
Never happen.
Getting people to vote for a Catholic will be hard eneough, getting them to vote for a Catholic and a guy who belongs to a cult will be impossible.
So, everything that Giuliani did or said before a week ago is now irrelevant. Thank you for stating that. Noted.
"Mitt, as a Mormon would just pull the ticket down."
Mitt, as a second Northeastern guy, with some suspect conservative cred, would also not be helpful.
So maybe Guiliani looks conservative, and West? Oops.
Um, Dude. It's been outlawed.
LOL... well, I meant among the avg. voters. I'm sure any straw pole of GOP officials is going to be a little more favorable to him. Especially in a neighboring state. Those are promising results for him though.
Like I said, there's time, but he's got a lot of name recognition ground to make up.
"I know lots of people seem to have "I met McCain and he seemed unhinged" stories"
Well, I can beat that. ;)
I never met him, only see him on TV and I also think he is unstable and there are lots of things wrong with him. Anyone who has gone through the Viet Kong tortures is a hero, but should not aspire to be president, nor should people elect him.
I think this thread has more info on the poll you guys are talking about: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1784277/posts
His position has changed, just like algore used to be prolife.
Leave it to you to attempt to misconstrue my words. My salient point to you would better serve your interests, but you're too consumed to see the forest through the trees.
That doesn't make any difference if it has been outlawed don't you know! Kind of like the meaning of the word 'is' if you think about it! :)
Hope you had a great day!
Well, I just sent info on Duncan to everyone on my email list - friends & family. Several wrote me back & said Duncan had their vote & that they were forwarding the info on to their friends & family. That's the way a grassroots movement gets started.
As I've said before - we'll see what happens. May the best man win!
GO DUNCAN HUNTER!!!
considering most "avg. voters" aren't paying attention to the love&slugfest going on here, you and others best hope others groups of "avg. voters" don't yield similar results.
why do you think the push to get into California early and suck up all the money is being done and advanced at a feverish pace by more than a few here?
