How would you feel about armed Mexican police on the streets of America? We shouldn't be doing this. I agree. While Britain is our greatest friend and ally I do not think our police should be patroling their streets. It makes for a dangerous precident not only for ourselves but also other nations.

This would set a bad precedent...besides, I'm pretty confident the Brits have what it takes to deal with potential trouble.

I understand that, and I don't mind an exchange program. I also recognize that historically there have been many times when US soldiers were under the command of foreign generals (including the Revolutionary War).
I would still have a problem with importing large numbers of foreign policemen to patrol our streets. Oversight and accountability would be problematic at best.
Great FReep name, by the way. Speaking of alien policemen....
