Ditto.
I don't use oars, I got a motornoat!
Yeah, but don't he look good! And that will come in handy if Hildebeast runs.
Living in San Diego county; ranking member of the Armed Services committee and running for President - Duncan Hunter.
Yeah, but you ain't got no spellcheck!
Did you not see that Republicans didn't place abortion in even the top 3 categories of "most important". Only 2% place abortion as the most important.
Moral values, from the poll you cited, includes a LOT more than abortion.
Good point!
Republicans don't but conservatives do!
What we need right now is a serious effort at finding a candidate who is acceptable - not perfect - to most of us and who can run against someone from the democrat party and win, and win big. We can all do our cutesy numbers later when there is time for that. Not now.
Nothing could be freakier than what the Democrats are parading around!
So all the polls just happened to miss conservatives and only polled mainline Republicans? Yeah, sure.
Ditto.

Yeah, its too bad what we will probably get stuck with. Reagan was a jewel in his own right, a 100 year man, who could read people like a book. Not only his patriotism and love for America, which was ALWAYS evident, but his committment to the Presidency and ITS OATH we outstanding. He was the last President, IMHO, that ever paid any attention to the Presidential oath. To say nothing of his respect and support for our beloved Constitution still remain unsurpassed by any even near Washington, DC.
I had really hoped to see another Reagan in my lifetime, but I am afraid it is not in the cards.
I've never seen anything like it with regard to you guys and those pictures.
I've been to fund raisers and seen men in our church dress in drag. I've seen our Mayor dress in drag. I've seen my 6'4" football player stepbrother dress in drag. All for charity.
I didn't make that claim at all, did I?
No, even Reagan couldn't live up to Reagan in today's climate.
He was a great president, but he wasn't perfect.
He was divorced, married a pregnant Nancy, and signed the most liberal abortion legislation at the time when he was Governor of California. As president he gave us two lousy Supreme Court judges, signed amnesty legislation, raised taxes 4 times and after the presidency he actively pushed for federal gun legislation (the Brady Bill).
No way. Reagan is no Bush. When inflation is considered, Reagan's budgets spent more %-wise on spending than Bush's. Reagan cut taxes only once and signed into law 2 tax increases, amnesty for illegals, and supported the Brady bill. He also signed the treaty that banned Freon. If Bush is not a conservative neither was Reagan. What did Reagan ever accomplish in the area of preventing abortions? He appointed O'Connor and Kennedy to the Supreme Court. What did Reagan do when 240 marines were killed in Lebanon by terrorists? He pulled all troops out and ran, with no consequences to the terrorists.
Hey, I voted for Reagan and would do so again if I could. Reagan accomplished some great things. However we should realize that a great leader has to make all sorts of trade-offs and compromises. I have no problem with holding Reagan up as a model president. However, we should be honest about his record and understand that he did things that we now for some reason refuse to forgive in others.
Yes... moral values does include more than abortion. And it is moral values that will likely sink Guliani as time goes on. If it does, I hope it is in the primaries and not the general election. If he becomes the nominee and then all his positions hurt him in the general election, we could easily have a Dim president.
You said Republicans might not care about abortion enough to place it in the top 3 concerns but that conservatives do.
So my point is that all these polls which show only 2% of Americans place abortion in the list of their top concerns must have only polled Republicans vs. conservatives. Otherwise, according to you, abortion should have polled much higher than 2%.
